But dont forget that ur 6month investment that matures next month, it is still current asset(not long term). Just not cash or cash equivalent.

    cool. Thanks.

In my experience, they test these minor details so I wanted to make sure on that one.

good luck to you on the last one. Any last minute study tips?

I am in need of some advice

My exam is 11/19 (tuesday)…I took yesterday, today and next Monday and obviously Tuesday off from work to study and take the exam…

Yesterday's major task : I did a practice test using Wiley and I got a 78 and I had plenty of time to spare afterward.

Today I'm lost on what I need to do…I wish I could've taken the exam today instead of waiting allll the way until Tuesday. This is my 4th attempt at passing FAR…all of the other attempts could've been passes if I had better managed my time on the SIMS. I need to pass this time around or else I lose audit and I will no longer be exempt from the 150 credit hour rule for CA.

What would you do to prepare for the next couple of days up until exam day?

Hey @CPA4birthdaypresent. I am in a very similar situation. This will be my 4th time taking FAR, also could have/should have passed before, but the sims kill me. AND i will lose credit for Audit in January if i don't pass and my software is expired plus there have been changes to the exam since i passed. Grr!

Soo…..my plan for the next few days (I take Novemeber 21): today: wiley practice exam. i took one of the becker practice exams last week and received a 60% on it. Not great, but not terrible. I had gotten a 42% previously and had received a 72 on the real thing, so try not to focus too much on your practice exam results!!

tomorrow: reading back through the chapters and really nailing down the few concepts that I am still struggling with (governmental JE's, deferred tax assets and liabilities, etc). Then redoing any and all questions on these topics.

Sunday: possibly redoing simulations (at least the ones i didn't do great on the first or second time through) and as many progress tests as i can stand to do. Reviewing flashcards.

Monday: memorizing all formuals, mnemonics, and JE's that I think I may need to know and again…more questions. Flashcards

Tuesday: questions, questions, questions. And some flashcards.

Wednesday: relax and try not to go crazy overthinking everything. Probably will go through my flashcards and review notes.

    Thursday: EXAM DAY! AHHHH!!

Best of luck to you. I am trying my hardest not to stress too much about this exam, I recommend the same to you (I know it's basically impossible especially since we have such high stakes!!) Keep pounding the questions and sims and you'll do fine!!!

    Illinois

thanks kelsi417!! It's good to know i'm not the only one in this predicament 🙂

Your study plan seems pretty solid…I think I'll roughly follow that.

I JUST WANT TO TAKE THE TEST ALREADY!!

@CPA4birthdaypresent – you and me both! I've been studying for FAR since the second week of September. I have really been feeling the stress the last week or so. Just ready to be done. Pass or Fail….my CPA journey ends November 21. I have been studying for 3 years (on and off), I want to have a life again! Having CPA after my name would be amazing, but I've come to terms with the fact that it may not happen. I can always say that I passed 3/4 of the exam. Better than a lot of people can say, right? But I plan on passing! I've definitely put in the hours, now it's just a matter of my luck with what questions and simulations i get.

Good luck on Tuesday. Please write your experience in the FAR exam experience section, i'd like to read what you thought!
