    I'm a lurker around here. I have scheduled my FAR retake exam for Oct 5th, before i fly out to CA for friends wedding. I did horribly the first time I took FAR, Didnt even practice any of the Sims and only went through book and MCQ on Becker once. So here I am trying to learn the concepts better. For some reason I'm having trouble with Marketable Securities & Business Combos. Not a fan of calculating stuff 🙁

    Oklahoma Candidate
    AUD - Pass (8/14)
    FAR - Pass (11/14)
    REG - Pass (2/15)
    BEC - Pass (11/15)
    Ethics Exam - Pass (12/15)

    Once you get marketable securities down they are very easy. Business combinations are very tricky though.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
    AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

    Yes, I hate it when others pass all four parts their first try and I am here struggling trying to get one part in one window…..I guess it really doesn't pay to be jealous, but it is an incentive to try (study) harder. So I guess I'll pass on my next try then.

    It begins with a 75
    Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

    @gabequinn – I'll be starting F1 tonight. I'm aiming for 1 section per week, with 2 when I am able, so that I leave room for 2 weeks of review. I'm anxious to start!

    Does anyone have a good mnemonic for what remembering what gets credited/debited in an equity investment (significant influence)?

    FAR - [10/07/2013 --> 66] [07/07/2014 --> 86]
    BEC - [08/31/2014 --> 86]
    AUD - [11/24/2014 --> 88]
    REG - [02/14/2015 --> 92]

    This will be my first ever CPA test in the middle of November- I started studying in the beginning of August which will give me 15 weeks of study time- I am seeming to forget past material. I plan to review for 6 weeks, Does anyone have any tips for reviewing that length of time? I am using Ninja Audio, Wiley TB and Yaeger.

    @dale – I've heard that a good rule of thumb is to never study more than 9 weeks (including review time). I think your best bet is to fully restudy each section in your review process, and utilize the Wiley TB over and over and over again.
