Is it ok to start a FAR Study Group? I retook Audit yesterday and although I don’t have a gut feeling either way if I passed or not, I am going to start on FAR. I am using Becker self-study and purchased the Ninja Notes for FAR.

I am looking forward to reading a/b everyone’s progression. Good Luck!

Does anyone think Stockholder's Equity is one of the hardest sections? I just can't seem to grasp it. I even listened to the Yaeger lecture and found that it didn't help (and Phil Yaeger & Cindy Simpson coteaching is one of the most obnoxious things EVER).

@bcjasper09 I get the same impression about BEC, I hope it's the correct impression because I really need to be done with these exams.

I have decided to look link the change in inventory to a change in Accounts payable. I treat an increase as a cash outflow which would be reduced by an increase in Accounts Payable for inventory not paid for. (not trying to confuse anyone but I think that works for me).

Today I am working on the Wiley MCQ's for Business Combinations and Consolidations. If all goes well I may also do Investments.

@theo- I think i'm having issues with all the JE's for it. Rogers flew through it & I just didn't grasp it well. Maybe I need to listen to the lecture again

If you're using the Wiley Test Bank, I think they do a pretty good job with their explanations cause that's when I really grasped it.

That's good to hear- I got really discouraged after going though 5 MCQ's and realizing I didnt know what I was doing. I think I was sidetracked while I was listening to the lecture originally & kept thinking about all the earlier info that I was having trouble remembering. Ugh

@gchantur – Personally, I thought the MC were pretty much on the same level and the SIMS on the actual test were much much harder than Becker. The actual test seemd to combine a lot of topics/ideas rather than how Becker focuses on one topic for each SIM…if that makes any sense.
