Is it ok to start a FAR Study Group? I retook Audit yesterday and although I don’t have a gut feeling either way if I passed or not, I am going to start on FAR. I am using Becker self-study and purchased the Ninja Notes for FAR.

I am looking forward to reading a/b everyone’s progression. Good Luck!

    Aud- 11/28/12 (72), 02/27/13 (72), 04/06/2013 77!!

Alright FAR fam. Done with all sections also did my 10th progress test. got 76% which is the lowest I've had but I'm ready to do all MCQs all over and work on sims. I'm planning doing 200 mcqs/day, any suggestions how to approach this stage of preparation? I would appreciate any kind of advice!

    Good night ya'll

I am at the same stage as you are. For my past exams, I just reworked all the MCQ AND SIMS and than re read the entire book, focusing on my weak areas than worked all the MCQ's again and again as time would permit and working in progress tests and the final exams closer to exam date.

@bcjasper09 Thanks a lot for a response! I am thinking of taking a final exam right now and then doing MCQs since I have two tries. I was wondering if I approach it that way would be good. Doing one exam now, then reviewing all mcqs and then doing exam again to see the improvement.

gchantur- I do that, also. I feel like the Final Exams are a bit harder, and will point out your weak areas. I don't like the fact that it takes a lot of time to go back and review but its a good way to prep yourself for the test. I have never had a problem finishing in time for my prior exams, but I'm afraid that I might with FAR.

Just finished the last of the MCQ and Sims for F10… Review time officially begins…….now! Does anyone else have trouble with Long Term Liabilities (notes receivable in particular). I always get screwed up with the facts of the problem when there is a non interest bearing note receivable with the market rate.. Correct me if I am wrong but if its for more than 1 year, you impute the interest rate and discount the note on your B/S (reporting it Net) and than amortize the interest expense/revenue over the life of the note?
