@NJPRU–I study on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-12:00 on Mon/Wed/Fri I study after the kids go to bed until 11:00 or 12:00 so usually 3 hours on those days. Then I study as much as I can from noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday. So I would guess that I get about 20-30 hours a week. Wow! And I still don't know a lot of this crap. Booo!!!
NJPRU, I am just venting…please ignore me, not very positive about the exam today…

Have you looked at the topic breakdown to see what your percentages are by topic? What are you struggling with? I'm going through the AICPA release questions tonight. It will get better!!
I just finished the 2013 AICPA release questions and I got 31/50 on the MCQ and both SIMS correct. That means something is sticking, right? For those of you that have taken it before, are the AICPA release questions a pretty good judge of what the test will be like? I know I didn't get them all right (some were due to not RTMFQ), but they seem a little easier than the WTB questions. That seems weird to me.

You think? I feel like maybe these questions were thrown out for a reason and the real quesitons are going to be ridiculous in comparison even though I've seen many people post that they saw AICPA release questions word for word on their exam. Probably from the 19 I got wrong! Hahaha. Thanks teetee.
@CPAMommy – yes, those questions are THE BEST. Do them all multiple times!
I just got accepted by CBA and immediately put in my request for FAR. Hope I get my NTS by Friday! Hope not any later cus I leave for Mexico at 1pm and won't have internet til late Sunday! Just checked Prometric and OMG the 15-17 just opened up. Previously the latest was the 11th of April! Would love to snatch that 17th spot from 1-5pm.
So I think my last reply was 3 days ago and looks like I have missed 3,000 pages on this thread, including someone getting promoted (congrats!), someone getting annoying Dr. news (I hope everything is OK), awesome notes for consolidations and bonds (already saved – thanks!) and a re-appearance by NYC Accountant (always a pleasure). Either you guys are too fast or I am too slow. I think it's the latter…
*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂
@NJPRU I am struggling getting in hours during the week as well, but I refuse to sacrifice sleep, unless it's getting down to crunch time and I absolutely need to. Even then, I make sure I don't do it too close to test date because I don't want to burn myself out. I am working on my fitness (I am at a really unhealthy weight right now) so I leave work at around 5:30pm to make it to my workout at 6:30pm. I get home around 8pm and I am usually sitting down on my computer “to study” at around 9pm. So realistically, I should be able to do 2-3 hours Monday through Thursday (I take Friday nights off most weeks) with a bed time of 12am and wake time of 7am. The more I suck it up and study while I am tired during the week, the less I need to study during the weekend and actually enjoy some time with my family and friends (incentive anyone?).

We've missed you Amay! This thread moves very fast. I have it up all day long at work because I have to have something to look at while waiting on reports to run or while I'm on the phone with a branch explaining how their bad debt was calculated or how to fix their bank problems. 🙂
I just did the 2006 AICPA Release questions and missed 11 out of 50–Yay. For those of you that have the NINJAAudio and have heard Jeff say “Monetary Units are the basis of all economic activity. You may be listening to me say that and think who cares, well YOU will care when you see that question on the exam.” Yep–It was in the 2006 AICPA release questions and I remembered it from the audio!!! Thanks Jeff!
