So to keep your minds off of the score release (as if that was possible) maybe you guys can tell me what to take from this conversation: My boss (Controller) was telling our new VP of Finance that she had 3 managers that report to her and this is how she described us.
“GL Accounting Manager, Mamabear, is my best manager. She is great at delegating and getting projects done.
Inventory Control Manager, XXXX, is my best supervisor. She is great at keeping her employees in line.
AP Manager, YYYY, is my best worker bee. She is constantly working problems and keys a lot of problem invoices.”
At first I was flattered because I've only been a manager for 3 years and the other 2 have been here for 20+ years and managing for most of that time. Now I'm starting to think that being best at delegating makes me sound like I push all the real work to my employees, which isn't true. Hmmmm. What do you guys think?
