I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

Well I am back again… Third time is the charm? I don't have my analysis of what parts I did bad on yet but I can guess its probably all of them. I have never reviewed like I should so I'm guessing that's a majority of my problem. I have never rewritten notes. What do you all recommend to study? Since this is my second fail I have watched the videos twice now as I did what Jeff recommended. I think I'll take my next one end of May? Not sure as I haven't purchased my NTS again yet. I felt like I got so much out of the second viewing that maybe I should rewatch for the third time? I feel like because I never reviewed with MCQ and sims as much as I'd like that I should just do that and forget the videos? What do you all think? Thanks!

Skip the videos! Nonstop MCQs…that's what I am doing. Re-write Ninja notes since you say you never wrote any of your own…follow the plan that is in the first few pages of the notes.

@teeteenounouche. Oh I wrote my own notes. The first time around I wrote two and a half notebooks worth. Second time was probably a little less then two. I guess I would rewrite my own if I skip the videos.since mine are crazy detailed. Just not sure how much MORE I can get out of the videos. But I really want to just focus on the MCQs. We'll see once I get my anaylsis but I can bet it says I didn't do great on MCQs. Thanks again!

OK, then it sounds like we are in the same boat – lots of MCQs in our future 🙂 Good luck studying!

Got my NTS this morning. Now time to figure out when to take the test. Today I start my re-studying. Good luck everyone!

Awesome AleFLCPA…I emailed NASBA to ask about mine and if they don't respond in a timely manner, I will harass them on the phone, lmao

This is what you call KARMA for telling Bummie to not call NASBA during score release…

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB

@teeteenounouche I hate contacting NASBA they are really slow to get back to us. They should know they are dealing with accountants and we have little patience 🙂

On another note, I'm not sure if I should schedule my exam for April because the closests date available to the 20th is 4/14 which only givese 5 weeks of studying. Or should I wait and take it closer to May 15 which is the second cut off date for the score release. Want do you guys think?

@samdiego–The Ninja Notes has a good breakdown for IFRS. That will be my main source of information to prepare for the exam on IFRS.

    #561105

@AleFLCPA, you should take it when you are ready but don't wait too long…

I am going to take it as early as possible because I don't want to forget the material I actually got right and I have too many things going on in May. I would not find any real time to study. Crossing my fingers for a good date…

BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB

Guys I got my NTS this morning and scheduled my test for the 21st. The other available date in the center I wanted was the 30th.

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

LMAO: Response from NASBA…I am going to wait patiently so they don't flag my exam as DO NOT PASS 🙂

BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB

@ Tee thanks for the tip. I will do just that for F2 & F3 and focus on ninja notes for those areas.

I am one of those who called NASBA for my payment coupon…lol. The guy told me to be patient and my coupon should get to me in the nex 2-3 days as they don't work weekends.

My plan is to try again before April 20th and I am hoping to schedule at my goodluck center. I changed my exam date and center for last exam after scheduling. I should have known better cos I always fail when I go to that center. My gut told me that but I ignored…:-)

lol KRina, I'm glad I'm not the only one bugging them…I think I have a “bad luck” row at my testing center…whenever they sit me in that row, I don't pass…it's a conspiracy I tell you! JK I think I am delirious from thinking too much this weekend…going to put my audio on now 🙂

    Florida:

Okay I'm back at it again. Scheduled my exam for 4/12 and brought my flashcards to work so if I have the urge to search the website for a few minutes I”ll just do a few flashcards instead while waiting for something to load. Also plan on doing 80-85 questions per night and get through all becker “progress set” questions at least twice before exam time..

Does anyone find the wiley simulations helpful? I plan to look at those also, but want to make sure if they are better than becker?

    BEC: 65 - 79* - 84 DONE
    AUD: 65 - 76 DONE
    REG: 63 - 77 DONE
    FAR: 65 - 63 - 67 - 69 - 73 - 71 - 83 DONE
