I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

I need help with tips on how to study F2 & F3 becker. I had difficulties with them last time. Any tips on tackling those chapters will be greatly appreciated. I started studying already again and I am done with F1.

@ Tee did you get your NTS already? I reapplied after my scores on Fridays so I am going to call them on MOnday and see if I can get a payment coupon asap.

KRina I paid today because the website said to wait 48 hours after receiving scores. I will call NASBA Monday afternoon to check on the NTS so it hopefully gets to me by Tuesday.

I think focusing on MCQs for the next four weeks and writing the notes of the explanations will help to have the concepts sink in. There are so many different possible scenarios they could come up with for each question.

I also checked and all the dates closed to April 20th are taken. Thinking of taking the exam closer to May 15th for second score release but I didn't want wait so long to retake the test. I start studying tomorrow 🙂

My AUD exam expires in May so I have no choice but to take what ever is left and make the best of it. What's that saying? While we plan, God laughs…

    Hi All,

I need help passing FAR. I have taken it twice already. I feel like my Becker and Wiley questions did not prepare me for nonprofit well, with regard to nonprofit financial statements. I could not find anything extra online, could someone please point me in the right direction how to prepare better for it?

Also, three of the SIMS threw me off. I just didn't know exactly what they were asking, it was vague. How do you approach a SIM that is vague?

I plan on re-memorizing hundreds of adjustments / accruals / journal entries in order to help me out with the SIMS. But, I'm not so sure given the type of SIMS I've had, that this will even help that much. Can't really think of doing anything else plus a few thousand more MCQs. I feel like I have everything else down, and I was scoring in the 70s and 80s in Wiley and Becker. So, it seems like I am just under performing on exam day due to the SIMs. I understand all the concepts well, except for nonprofit statements. I really think it is mainly the SIMs where I go wrong!

You guys are making me nervous about available spots. Still haven't gotten my NTS and I am worried I won't be able to get the day I want.

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

@cpafun I've taken FAR twice now and scored stronger on Governmental both times and stronger on NFP the second time. I use Roger/Wiley combo, so maybe check into Roger's fast paced program or just try to find notes online of his for NFP.

I need to find a good reference for IFRS cus I think that's what killed me.
