@mommy – I was JUST thinking that as I'm doing my leases/bonds chapter.
@jrosen – the Becker homework always takes me way longer than they estimate. Then again, maybe the time they estimate is when you can work through everything easily? I take my time, write things out, and review the explanation when I'm wrong.
@nclynch – your comment made my brain hurt haha, wish I could confirm what you're saying but I've seen too much FAR to make sense of anything anymore today haha
Hope everyone's studying is going well. I decided to return to the scene of the crime and pick Deferred Taxes back up. After re-reading the chapter and answering about 30 MCQ's, I think now is good time to give the kids a bath and take out the trash. Trying to find the “power” the part of this weekend, but maybe its just that it will get greater later.
@CPAMommyof3, sorry about that, lol! Maybe the formula way would be better. I don't like saying add the decrease or subtract the increase, it just confuses me. So from cash to accrual I'll list each item as such:
Cash Received
Beg A/R
End A/R
Beg Unearned Rev
End Unearned Rev
Then plug my pluses and minuses based on my understanding of the effects that each account has on revenue. Subtract Beg A/R because that's revenue from last year, add End A/R because that's revenue from this year, etc. Maybe this just makes sense in my head!
Hi everyone, how's the studying going? I am studying EPS and feeling overwhelmed by diluted EPS – (complex capital structure) in calculating different scenarios for WACSO, making me feel anxious, debating whether i should go out and have a glass of wine or keep on studying…
@hopeImnottolate just keep it at one glass. I my break was supposed to be over 30 mins ago. I think I may have to get a double shot of Dewars to jumpstart me for my second session.
Stay sober and study my friend- The most “instresting” wanna be cpa in the world

Hi everyone! Joining this group after my disappointing 71. I am not sure whether to start from scratch watching lectures and all or take a note re-writing, endless MCQs strategy? Thoughts from any veterans?
*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂
