I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

@hope–YES! I feel the exact same way when I see a wrong answer. Thus, my lack of positivity last night. Two 50% quiz results. I was devastated.

Yeeeeees it's new day Saturday and happy to see everybody is as rejuvenated as I am. A little behind schedule but my plan is to tackle leases today and at least have an understanding of pensions. Lots of notes on this ugly mod 13 but I refuse to end the day still on it. I'll save my weekly MCQ review (usually on sat) for tomorrow if needed but I will not spend one more day on this mod from hell. Notes notes notes, NINJA notes NINJA audio and I'll tackle the rest in the review. Happy studying today gang….

CPAMom: did you review your incorrect answers? It always makes me feel better to conquer the issue areas that caused the low score. It's extremely disheartening to get a low score after a week of focusing on the material but the point of a MCQ review in my mind, is to focus on what you got wrong, not the percentage you got right. It sucks but then I review the material that didn't stick (sometimes one topic has a recurring theme and costs you 20-30%). You may not be as far off as you think!

@CPAMommyof3 Good luck with government! The funds can get confusing because there are so many of them. Let me know if you have any questions!

@CPAMoM, glad to know that i'm not the only one, sometimes i also feel so stupid, i mean the fact that i've been in the accounting industry for quite some years, i feel like i should be able to understand the concept quicker and be able to do this but gotten wrong answers and just blank when reading the questions make me feel so stupid and anxious…i am trying to increase my positivity as well, and focus!! we can do this!!

@howmanyletters–I didn't last night because I was really tired, but I will be going back through all the incorrect ones and their explanations. My biggest problem is how quickly I go from being confident to feeling like I know nothing. It's one of my flaws that I need to work on.

@spartan. Thanks. I finished the 3 hour lecture and got 90% on my first 20 question quiz. Interestingly the lecture didn't show an actual statement at all. I will need to go back to the book for practice with that. I only have 47 more MCQ in WTB and I will have seen every government MCQ at least once. If these 47 go well I'll probably watch NFP today and quiz on that.

@hopeim–I've been in accounting for 10 years or so and I am amazed at how little I've dealt with over the years that is tested on. I've never done bonds, governmental, or NFP. I'm sure it will all come together with more practice. I spent a lot of time reading the book and I think I just need to quiz.

As a side notw–I recently realized that I did not fully utilize the WTB when I used it for AUD. I never used the “textbook” function for more explanation on the MCQ. I never looked at the “incorrect question” function in the report section. There is a lot more that I can do to get these concepts down than I realized. Even on test 4, I'm still learning how to study.

Hey everyone, does the prometric site freeze on you and do you often get error messages when trying to locate a testing center? I can't figure out what is going on with this thing, whether its my internet browser or the website itself.

I had issues with the site when I was moving my test day. It froze and then it said that my NTS was invalid and I was scheduled to sit at all. I waited 15 minutes, tried again and it worked just fine.

@CPAMommyof3 – thank you! I'll try that and just give it a break and come back to it.

Hello everyone! I am planning on taking FAR in late May and am having some major issues with F2 “Timing issues” (becker). I have read the section a few times and when I read it most of it makes sense, but the MCQ's are so tough and a lot of them I am not following from the book, etc. Did anyone else have major trouble with this section? I am trying not to let it bother me too much and hopefully I can move on soon but it is literally taking me forever. Just wondering if anyone has any helpful tips. Thanks!

    AUD - 73,91
    FAR - 79 - Thank you God!
    BEC - 73,79!!!!
    REG - 92 whatttt??!

I used Becker review + flashcards, Ninja Audio, Ninja MCQ supplement on BEC and REG.

    Done! Praise God!

There isn't a section in Wiley called “Timing Issues” and I'm not sure what that would entail. If you could tell me what the section is about maybe I can relate it to something covered in Wiley and help out.

    #561006

@Lauren725: Yes, i had the same issue for Chapter 2, the MCQ's are different with the textbook explanation, it is the real world examples of timing issues and basic fundamental accounting, to be honest with you chapter 2 MCQ's i think is the most challenging (for me at least). I read a lot of the questions explanation on the MCQ's and re-do the MCQ's for the second time and it made sense the second time and memorize the BASE formula from Becker for the Accrual to Cash or Cash to Accrual (It can get confusing). That is so far what i did..but i am on chapter 7 now, and we'll see if i still remember Chapter 2 when i do my review…
