I finally got over my hysterical fear of failing FAR. As I mentioned in another thread, I started studying for it at the end of 2013, freaked myself out and quit.

Well, I decided to eat this elephant bit by bit, and the worst case scenario I will fail – ha, better people done that. But I am planning to pass! I just finished Marketable Securities in Rogers and will move onto the next section tonight.

It’s too bad that Roger’s structure does not correspond with WTB – I can only do a very few questions in WTB, not enough knowledge to do entire modules yet. It’s slow time at work and I could have been doing MCQs. I practice JE instead.

@masa_inn – I am in the same boat. Started FAR end of Dec 2013 but freaked out. When are you taking the test? You feeling confident of the material you've covered so far? I am also supplementing my Becker material with WTB. Plan to use WTB for final week review.

Just reminded myself this morning as I've done incredibly awful the last couple of days on present value (this coming from a guy who has a Finance degree no less…)

It's way too early to freak out now, man up, take a deep breath and try it again.

Folks, FAR is a marathon not a sprint. Some concepts are going to come slow. Prepare for and expect that, it will make it easier….

Hey everyone, I need a little advice regarding FAR. I will not be able to study very much during tax season, but should be able to put some time in. My goal is to master 1 or 2 sections in the Wiley book between now and April 15th. Then, I will hit the books hard and take FAR at the end of May. What 2 sections do you see the most important to learn?

Professional Conduct Exam: 97
