    I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

    In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

    @zubairs–Trust me when I say that I have a great support system and without them I would never have attempted to juggle these things. 5 years ago I was working one job 8-5 and I would have never considered going back to school or taking the CPA exam. I was enjoying my life of work and happy hours and trying to live it up before we started our family. And then life threw a bunch of things at me that I could either take as an obstacle or take as a opportunity. I wish things were a little less challenging, but that's life. 🙂 And you can also trust me when I say that I have ups and downs as I'm sure most of you know because I post pretty much what I'm thinking all the time and I'm sure I look like an emotional nutjob, but this exam will do that to you. You can do this!! It's just about prioritizing and focusing, which I am not the best at but I'm working on it. I posted a link on this thread a couple of days ago about study tips and it shows how to get in studying on-the-go. You should check it out.

    @NJPRU–That is a GREAT idea!!!

    Morning everyone! Hope everyone had a chance to get some good studying in! I read until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, and then read some more!

    @CPAMom
    , my husband thinks I'm a complete emotional nutjob because of this test, BUT it'll be worth it…. once I can get my sanity back 🙂

    @NJPRU, that is a fantastic idea!

    @zubairs, my 2 cents… for what they are worth; just prioritize, set a schedule and BREATHE. I think moving your test to the end of may would be beneficial, and make you a little less crazy about it. You CAN do it; you just have to keep telling yourself that!! I keep getting more responsibilities pushed on me at work because I'm too efficient and quick at everything so they figure I'll take on everything possible; between that and the kids and my husband at home – it can get nervewracking, but you have to just take a step back, breathe, and take control again.

    Thanks a lot everyone 🙂 I think i will push my test to the end of May and try to prioritize my work/study time. This forum keeps reminding me that one day we are all gonna make it. We just need to keep moving forward and never give up.

    @mommy & @frosty I've said this a couple of times now, but women like you all around the world put guys like me to shame on a daily basis. I salute each and every one of you who takes on this beast of an exam with family, kids, work and what not. You guys are my heroes 🙂

    Not to speak for Mom as she can add her own opinion on the matter, but I think ALL topics are important for the SIMS. What I am focusing on though are Journal Entries – even if I can't get the computation, I can still get the accounts right, so to me, the JEs are half the battle – the computation is the other half.

    Also, I would focus on getting the research questions correct, learn how to research and research quickly – getting that additional point is crucial.

    Any thoughts on APIC

    AUD--52,68,83, expired. Retake = 74 RETAKE - 7.24.26
    FAR--73,70,68,75
    BEC-- 79

    @jasbeerch – not a problem – can you pinpoint to where the JEs are on the page? I'd like to see a list of them myself as I have been just creating a list in my notes.

    As for the research questions – have you practiced SIMS during your review? I would continuously practice those so that you can determine the most efficient way to search for what you are looking for.. I would also say just get used to the confidication and how to narrow down your searches rather than using broad words that give you 100 search results.

    @23K

    APIC is broad, depends on what transaction you're looking at. You can post a specific question and we will do our best to explain a little bit.

    REG -63│ 84!!
    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!

    @jasbeerch–I haven't taken the test yet, but I would agree with NJPRU that all the topics could be on a SIM. I looked at all the SIMS in the WTB to practice, but mainly I think you need to have a good handle on JEs and you need to make sure you search the authoritative literature during the exam for EVERY SIM, not just the research SIMS. You can find answers within the AL.
