@CPAMom, I'm with you on the Fair Value thing. Of course, once I try to answer a question assuming the item is accounted for under Fair Value, it isn't.
Drinking wine and studying…I wonder if Olivia Pope tried this in law school?? Lmao

I'm sure she did. That girl drinks a lot of wine. I just took a break to watch Big Bang Theory while I'm sporting my “Stay Calm and Sing Soft Kitty” T-shirt. If only chocolate worked as a retention modification tool for me. I would ACE this test! 🙂
Lmao CPAmom, why didn't I think of this a year ago…just finished reviewing a section of notes and I didn't complain in head or drive myself insane getting through the material lol…jk I will be back in power study mode in the am bright and early! Good luck studying this weekend!

i can't say that I'm pleased with myself, but I can say that some of it was due to being tired and some were due to just stupid mistakes. Better luck tomorrow I hope. Only 13 more sections to go tomorrow and then I can start drilling on my bad areas over and over and over again until next Saturday. 🙂
I'm starting Liabilities today including bonds, debt, extinguishing.. this is the longest chapter – approx 150 MCQ and 12 subchapters and I still have to finish my pension studies! It's going to be a super long weekend. uye!
struggling with partnership right now…I'm just trying to understand the bonus and goodwill method.
I was really good with partnership when I was studying for REG, but FAR really digs deep into this topic.
1. Can someone please explain the goodwill and bonus method to me?
2. If partner A 40% and Partner B 60% decides to admit a new partner and allocates 20% Interest to the new partner, what will be the new % allocation for the old partners (A & B) ?
Can anyone tell me how “getting angry” works? I think that's what I need to do, but I'm only mad at myself right now, not the test. Not sure how to get to that point, but I'm willing to try anything at this point. 🙂
