@Amor D..I understand but I am not in a great financial situation at the moment. 🙁

I am using Becker self study, ninja blitz and Wiley (I am using the paperback version of the testbank)
Brief overview of study method:
1. Skim through chapter quickly
2. Watch lecture videos
3. Take a lot of notes on what the lecturers emphasize
4. Complete half HW after lectures half after rewriting notes
I am not sure either if I would score 2 points higher if I had the chapter outlines early on.
All I know is that, I did not practice enough MCQs. So it's all my fault I am repeating FAR for the 2nd time around.
Becker has about 10,000 progress tests. If we will be able to work on those MCQs and practice more SIMs till the actual test, we should be good and we can pass FAR.

@ Amor D I am definitely going to do as many multiple choice questions as I can. I have the paperback version of the WTB plus AICPA released questions as well. Do you think the chapter outline are similar to the final reviews that Becker has?
@teeteenounouche We can definitely do this if we put in the time and effort!

@CPANovice, what version of Becker's Final Review do you have? If it's 2013, yes, the Final Review is a bit similar with the chapter outlines. The latter is just a little more condensed. For review purposes, studying the outlines is less time-consuming.
Now, I can devote my time MORE on MCQs than re-reading the whole lecture of each chapter.
@ Amor D thanks for you input. It is much appreciated.

Well I got home last night at 7:30 and was a big ole B to everyone because I had such a bad day at work yesterday and the stress of this test is getting to me. I went to bed at 8:30 without telling anyone good night or kissing/hugging my kids or husband. Hopefully those 10 hours of sleep will put me in a better mood. This is just unacceptable. I cannot wait for this test to be over.
@MammaBear! Hang in there! I'm sure they understand! Don't beat yourself up – we all have those days even if our circumstances are different, i.e. kids, marriage, parents, etc.
I myself went to sleep early, did some EPOB questions and said screw it and went to sleep by 1030 instead of 12. Tonight I am also taking a break and going to a concert – I need to get out of the house before I go crazyyy. Power weekend is going to suckkk. lol
Thanks Jro, mommy, teetee, and letters for your feedback. I was thinking people were going back through the material all over again. I am all for reviewing topics I struggle with on the MCQs/SIMs.
I have a quick question for the Becker users. I am retaking FAR. My software is 2012 material. It has the IFRS stuff included and I have the current NINJA notes with all the IFRS material.
Has FAR changed in the last year that would make my version of Becker insufficient in just basic review purposes? I just want to rewatch some videos on bonds, leases, inventory, etc.
CPA mom – Ahhh the stress we put on ourselves for this exam is huge, add to that stress from work and it's just a recipe for an awful day. Don't beat yourself up…today is a new day your family will understand.
As my first CPA exam coming up…gonna throw a question out to those of you who have been at this for a while…what is your pre-exam ritual? Thinking final 24 hours before the exam…
Thanks Howmany! I take the day before the exam off of work and quiz as much as possible. I always take the exam in the afternoon (12-1:30ish start time) so I get up the next morning and just review notes and JEs…things that I want at the front of my mind going into the test. I don't quiz the morning of the test. I'm too nervous to eat so I just drink my sodas and wait for game time.
