I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

Ok thanks. You are on a roll tonight. Good job! Don't know how you do it with working full time and 3 kids.

Knowing the amortization tables really well for both bonds and premiums is important. It also helps you learn the JEs if you know where things are in the table and it helps when they ask questions about whether or not amortization of discount/premium will increase or decrease the carrying value. I try to do at least the first line of the amortization table even when the problem doesn't ask for it just so I know that I can 100% do it for the test if needed.

Ok, thanks. I will definitely keep that in mind when I get to bonds.

I have a lot of help–husband, parents. My goal right now is to pass this test before my oldest starts kindergarten in August so I can focus 100% of my attention on her education instead of my own. 🙂 My boss is also great. I have slept through my alarm all week because I keep staying up so late studying and she doesn't say anything when I still leave work at 5:00. She is just as invested in my passing the CPA exam as I am. She needs a successor. Without all of the supportive people I would not be able to do this.

I feel much better about tonight's quizzing than last night's. I was mad at myself all day for missing your questions. I was on a mission tonight. Thanks for this. It is really helping me. I also managed to get in 60 MCQ on deferred taxes tonight. I feel much better about those now. I have to call it quits too. It's going to be a long weekend.

Sounds like you have a great support network…..that's awesome. I have one and my wife has also been very supportive. My 7 year old son keeps reminding me to get a 75.

That's great! My 4 year old just reminds me that her school work looks more fun than mine and I shouldn't try so hard to pass the exam because once I pass she won't get to sleepover at Nana's as much. Isn't that sweet? Hahaha

I normally do not say this, but based on your command of the subject and your determination, I think you have a really good shot at passing FAR.

Thanks JRosen. That means a lot. I have my ups and downs with the motivation and consistency in reading the questions, but I'm really hoping that I can pass on the first try. I don't want to have any more retakes. That's precious time away from my family.

I hear you about the family. Once I pass this sucker, I want to go to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico and drink some beer and celebrate.

It was a great session! Thanks for participating! Ha–I haven't sleep well at all for the last week or so. Apparently I dream about consolidations and accruals and tell my husband all about it in my sleep. 🙂 I'm hoping I'll be able to get a full night of dreamless sleep on May 5th.
