In the process of studying for FAR I am having tons of problems grasping pensions. The questions may as well be written in French as far as I'm concerned. It seems like it may be somewhat lightly tested based on the fact that Becker doesn't have very many questions on the topic (only 19 in the 2011 version, not including the supplemental questions). I am considering just focusing my energy on the other materials and playing the guess lottery on any pension questions I receive on the actual exam (taking it on 1/17), but then I'm worried about getting a sim on pensions, so I'm not sure if that's a viable strategy.
Any thoughts, suggestions, or words of encouragment on the matter, considering that I'll be sitting for the exam in just over a week?
