I took FAR today. Govt/NFP was heavily tested. About 45% of MCQ were Govt/NFP. I also got a NFP SIM which I hope does not count toward my score. MCQ was a walk in the park; I got maybe 3 or 4 hard questions. I finished the first 2 testlets with 2 hours 45 minutes left for SIMs. I think I did okay on the SIMs. I'm 80% confident about 5 of the 8 Sims. I hope I pass so I can move on to REG. Should I wait to get my score before I start studying for REG. Is REG harder than FAR?

I was pleasantly surprised to see that all attached documents were on a single page for the Sims, and not on separate tabs like in my wiley test bank.

I took FAR on Friday… I cried leaving, that's normal right? I felt good on the MCQs but the SIMs…. I think it was a combination of making sure I'd have enough time and a lot of WTF are they asking… I don't feel good at all, better today than I did on Friday but ugh… I'm going to start re-reading a chapter a night in preparation that I may need to retake it.

@pam …feel good about yourselves that u have attempted. And now u have to put in lot of practice and revisit all weak chapters. You are so close to clear FAR. It may happen tht u may clear in this attempt ..but I think Sims is the breaking nerve..for me in reg I was good with 6 Sims but last 3 sims was so long to read and deadly..no time to think clearly what are they asking and I was not sure abt it..now look I got 71.. so next month it's FAR and Reg for me …so don't get disappointed ..we will be CPA soon

I just took FAR, did great (stronger than average) in MCQs but weaker in SIMS and failed. I believe time management and practice are keys for the SIMS. Do not underestimate the time for SIMS, I budgeted 1.5 hrs for SIMS and that wasn't enough. I'm working towards gaining 30 more minutes on MCQs to have 2 full hrs for the SIMS section. We'll see, back at it on 4-16-18,,,
