It is important to go over everything. It's a crap shoot. They can ask about anything. But govt and nfp are essential. I got 2 sims on those and several multiple choice questions.

I also had a handful of mcs from chapter 10 (becker) as well.

@Rocky – I know you are just trying to be helpful but careful, that would probably be considered divulging the nature of the exam 😉

No worries, Rocky. Just don't want to see you or anyone else get in trouble. You work too hard to get your license to jeopardize it!

Rocky was correct, though: Leave no stone unturned!

You got that right! I'm basically a hermit. All I do is work and study. Almost to the end…

Excel14, the questions for IFRS were mainly calculations and they were not tricky. I used Becker for the first 7 chapters. For gov,NFP, and IFRS, I used the hot spot videos from Bisk. The hot spot videos target difficult parts of the exam, and the guy teaching it gives you great examples. I couldn’t understand Becker when it came to Gov and NFO, so I used the mentioned videos. You might be able to find those on ebay. I got them used for a reasonable price. The one for NFP is 1 hr and 45 minutes, and the one for GOV is about 3 hrs.

I didn't finish 8,9, and 10 completely. I would at least do the lectures. Govt and NFP is tested heavily. More than I was expecting. It can be done. I only did about 60% of the MC and I just looked at the sims answers. I got lucky.

    AUD - 85
    REG - 78
    BEC - 79
    FAR - 79
I've come too FAR to fail.

I ran out of time and kinda blew off Becker F10 as well. I did see some MCQs on my exam, but apparently I must have ‘guessed right' since passed with an 82.

If I had it to do over, I would still probably blow off F10 in favor of nailing Govt/NFP…because those ARE more important 😉

    AUD: 80 (Becker) 10/01/2014

I basically gave up on a few hard topics towards the end of my studying. I was familiar with everything but I had to triage a bit. Luckily my weaknesses didn't hurt me too much.

    Audit(11/5/13) - 89
    Reg(5/16/14) - 86
    FAR(7/18/14) - 82
    BEC(11/14) - 85

I skipped NFP & Govt. accounting, b/c those were the last sections of CPAExcel, and I ran out of time. And, well, I'm re-testing later this month. If anything gets skipped, make sure it's NOT NFP or Govt.

    AUD: 84 - Oct. 2013
    BEC: 83 - Feb. 2014
    REG: 91 - May, 2014
    FAR: 68, 96 - Oct. 2014...DONE

    CPAExcel, Ninja Audio (all sections)

Skipped tons of sections(partnerships/eps). IFRS/GOV/NFP were fairly new to me and I learned them right before the exam.. I attribute my 77 to those 3 sections.

I have a lot of accounting experience and was able to get a 67, skipping a few sections (e.g. government, NFP). I just plain ran out of time. The accounting experience helps out with the journal entries. Totally disappointing and expected given the study time.

I was able to pass 2nd time around — did a lot of MCQs on those missed areas.
