Hey all, trying to keep the flame alive here. Has anyone had a really bad FAR experience (heavy computational all the way, tricky, etc) and left with a total fail feeling yet found out they passed?

    @Determined

Yes, I took FAR before. I failed because I didn't study enough. If I fail this time around, I lose AUD.

    Wonderful feeling… *sigh*

that's must be really stressful, if I fail FAR tis time around, that will be next quarter, at risk of losing reg.

but you DO have it in you to push forward and finish this! You will just re-take FAR again while its fresh and then take audit!

doubt you will fail tho =)

We will see on Tuesday… It could really go either way.

I've learned to listen to my gut. It's when I'm not trying to get an answer, is when I do get an answer. Does that make sense? For example, in the past few months, my gut told me to look into something twice. I was glad I listened.

Not sure what my gut says about this exam yet… But I'm not rushing to restudy. Maybe that's my gut talking?

To everyone waiting on hopefully their last score, I could imagine how much more anxious you are. To know that come Tuesday you very well may be done with the CPA exam forever is amazing. Last night I noticed I was doing superstitious things. Like for the times I passed, if I didnt do something between taking the exam and getting my score, I didn't want to do it this time either. Then I just said to myself…whatveer my score is is equal to the effort I gave it. If I don't get a 75 or higher, then I know it's on me and there are parts that I didn't cover as thoroughly as I should have. It's not because I'm not using a lucky mug or my socks don't match. It's all on me. And that's what makes it more scary.

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Same for me…waiting for my last part to be done with. I honestly felt, throughtout FAR last week, the MC were much better than the first time around. The first time around I got a 64, literally on 2 weeks of studying. This time I had less outside stress and managed to put in a good 6-7 weeks of studying (Becker, Ninja Audio, Ninja Notes, Flash). My initial gut feeling is that I definitely should do better on the MC. I wouldn't say they were getting much harder (I definitely had some in testlet two and three which were challenging), but maybe that's just me being more prep'd this time around. The SIMS for me were tough. I left 2 hours for the SIMS and had plenty of time- found the research for sure. I am somewhat confident on like 2 of the sims and the research, but the other 4 i Just don't know. I really hope there is an abundance of partial credit. Let's see- everyone I talked to always seems to struggle with FAR Sims. I felt like in Audit you could find a lot of help with the AL tab. Not so much with FAR for me

Actually yes, I seriously thought about walking out on the test because I felt all my questions were coming out of left field. After I convinced myself to finish the test I wrote a real nasty letter at the end of my test and used a few curse words. Then when I got home I threw my book cause I was still super pissed at the exam. I wasn't even going to check my score, but decided to cause I was finally calm, 77, I could not believe it. So for anyone thinking they failed FAR or any test, you still have a shot!

I'm in this boat. I took Far yesterday and I'm pretty sure my MC didn't go well. Sims I felt went OK. But you never know. I absolutely believe I failed it. This thread gives me hope, but honestly I feel I'm just setting myself up for disappointment..

I passed BEC and AUD and can't bring myself to study for Reg in fear of forgetting FAR material. I think I might wait it out and review FAR until the scores are released on Feb 4th/5th. If I were to gamble, I'm pretty sure I failed it.. sigh.

    I PASSED WITH A 76!!! A MIRACLE!!

If I can do it on the first try and not finish the SIMS (see previous post), then YOU CAN, TOO.

    B - 76 (2X)
    A - 80!! Thank God...(4X)
    R - 84!!! Highest score yet!! (4X)
    F - 76!! (1X - God is so good!)

Definitely in this bucket. I totally thought I bombed FAR due to the MC. I felt okay with simulations..

    I ended with a 79!

I scored pretty low in MC for financial statement accounts, but everything else I did better in (including stronger in simulations).

FAR was definitely a mind-trip. I felt that I barely passed BEC and AUD, and was I was mostly right. FAR.. I was completely wrong. I thought I scored in the 67-70 range. So happy right now.
