I have accommodations (Big monitor, zoom text, big calculator…)and every time, I go to Prometric to take the exam, one or more of the accommodations are missing..

Plus the test administrators are rude, especially when they do the security check , they give orders like we are soldiers or prisoners.

Did anyone have a bad experience with Prometric?

I kept complaining to corporate about it, but I am still very disappointed with the service….

Any feedbacks on that? Thank you

I had a horrible experience. Their instructions were extremely unclear. When I checked in the man at the desk instructed me to put everything in the locker and didn’t mention to keep my launch code or ID with me. Then when I got to security, the security man got upset with me that I didn’t have my ID. He told me to go retrieve it and I would have to start the process over again. And then after finally getting through security when I was taking my picture and getting my calculator and scratch paper, a separate employee finally let me know that I needed to have my launch code with me. When I double checked to see if she was talking about the code on my NTS, she looked at me like I was crazy and had no clue what was talking about. Her response was extremely rude and she was very unclear about what code she was asking for causing for even more pre-test stress. I was relieved to find out it was indeed a code on my NTS, but I had to go out and get it from my locker, and then again proceed to go through the security process. In general the security man was very grumpy and just kept saying “it’s not that hard” in response to his frustration with different people and his fellow employees. One tip for other people who go through this, is you can be rest assured that your test time doesn’t start till you actually launch the test. So if they are dragging insecurity, being rude, and not getting to people in time, this will not affect your overall exam time. Make sure that you have your ID with you the whole time, and that you have your launch code written down so that you can type it in to start the exam.

    Hi

I am from NY and we never had anything missing as I tested. they give a calculator pens and paper and will give another set of paper if needed. We have the break so I usually get it done at that time not to waste time if needed. The only thing that bothers me is the time and schedule I wish we can get the grades closer or even on same day, Every time I fail I have to make sure to test close to grade day to know what to do next. hopeful that will change one day also (just like quarterly testing) but other than that usually a smooth process! good luck
