I have tried studying for this exam (FAR) using Becker, Wiley (Yaeger) and Roger, but I can not sit through these lectures.

None of it sticks in. I will be watching the videos and my mind begins to wander.

Becker too boring, Yaeger about the same (book just bigger) and Roger is better but still can not sit through this.

Has anyone passed just doing a bunch of MCQs without going through these 500+ page books and lectures?

    Please share….

Hi, I am on the same boat. I have Becker and Wiley. I would like to study MCQs only too but 99% people say it's not enough.

I use Becker and also get easily distracted listening to lectures.

I just do my best to pay attention, writing out all the notes that they do. When they're done, I go back and reread the section I just did. I take a lot of notes, mainly on the stuff that they covered. This helps it sink in more. It sucks because its time consuming and even then I may still do horrible my first time through on the mcq. Actually doing the mcq is by far the best thing you can do to prepare though. I try to get through all of Becker's questions at least twice. That being said, I think its still important to go through and read.

You should definitely buy the Becker flash cards too. Don't try to memorize them but run through them a few times before the test as an outline of the most important topics in the chapter.

It depends. I passed FAR using only cpareviewforfree.com and googled topics that I just didn't get. I wouldn't recommend it but I was lucky enough to pass on my first try. I was in the middle of my Masters and have no doubt that the timing just happened to work out with some of what I was learning in my classes.
