Has anyone finished the exam in 3 hours? Did I do poorly on my testlet?

Hi, I took the FAR today. Honestly speaking, I don’t think it is hard at all and finished within 3 hours. But I am a little concerned since I heard most people have pretty intense time frame. I am wondering if I did too poor on my testlet 1 so they gave me easy questions afterwards? Has anyone finished the exam in a 3 or 3.5 hours?

    FAR - 93 (08/24/2014 - First down!)
    AUD - 91 (11/21/2014 - Second down!!)
    BEC - 90 (02/26/2015 - Third down!!!)
    REG - 94 (05/29/2015 - Touch down!!!!!)

    Here comes my touch down!

I have, the best score I ever received in FAR was when it took me a little over 2.5 hours. If you knew your stuff and it felt easy, then you probably did good. However, the test lets should have gotten a bit harder after the first one. How were the simulations?

Did the same thing with AUD & REG. Scared the crap out of me. I got through the MCQ's in about an hr and I doubled and tripled checked all of my answers and found no issues. SIMS were done in about 1.5 hrs so I was through everything with 1.5 hrs to go. Once again doubled and tripled checked and all was good. The hardest part is reaching to point where you can walk away from the exam. So long story short, yea been there and is why I take exams when the score release date is the shortest time.

I finished FAR (first attempt) in 3 hours and got an 80. Some people are just fast test-takers. Did you feel like the second and third testlets were noticeably easier than the first?

    BEC - 72, 82! ✓
    FAR - 80! ✓
    AUD - 70, 92! ✓
    REG - 74, 78! ✓

@CPAHOPEFUL11 @shankysays Yes. It is harder than the first testlet, but not that obvious. I only had one or two questions that I was not sure about — and that's it. And for every MCQ, it usually only takes me 1.5 minutes to solve them out. I think it's easier than Becker. Although I have the faith in passing the exam before I took it, I don't know what is going on here.. :'(

That is great if you were only unsure of one or two questions per test let. I usually at least mark down six to seven on every test let if not more. If you did even decent on the simulations, you should pass assuming you killed it on the MC.

FAR was the only one I've felt any time issue on, and I think that was just because I beat myself up over ones I wasn't sure on during the exam a bunch. The last two were definitely more like “welp, don't know…so best guess and move on”.

I finished both REG and AUD in about two hours. Pretty certain 100% because I didn't second guess, triple guess, and quadruple guess on questions that seemed fuzzy. Yes, it's definitely possible to fly through them and pass.

I finished FAR with over an hour left. It was the only exam I walked out of and felt that it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. First time taking BEC, I had 9 seconds left…second time, I finished with over an hour left as well. Audit I finished both times with around an hour or so left. I try not to dwell on the questions. I give myself a minute to answer each multiple choice question to leave as much time for the sims. I also have had enough time to take a bathroom break each test to clear my head between the MCQ and sims.

    FAR - 78
    AUD - 66, 91
    REG - August 28, 2014
    BEC - 74, 79

I have finished all my exams with 1.5 hrs or more to spare. I am naturally a fast test taken, only go back through my answers once, at most or spend all my time hung up on one question.

3 hours and 15 minutes (or so), and took a break between EVERY testlet to clear my head. 45 seconds/mcq, 1 minute would be an eternity. I intentionally “took my time” on Saturday, I felt great leaving.

    REG- (1) 76
    FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
    AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75
    BEC- (6) 75

I took far on 7/31 and finished in 3 hours 10 minutes and got an 81. I left the test second guessing that I must have forgot to answer a testlet or something.

    F - 7/31/14 - PASSED
    A - 8/30/14 - PASSED
    R - 2/12/14 - PASSED
    B - 11/30/14 - PASSED

I finished FAR in 2.5 hours. To be honest, I got so pissed off in my third testlet about all the questions over two specific seldom-reviewed topics that are only supposed to make up collectively 15-20% of the test that I just started laughing, stopped giving a shit, and kept clicking the first answer that jumped out at me without really thinking. I must have soaked up some knowledge in my studies, or they must have been pretest questions, because I passed. With the sims, I did what I could, and didn't waste any time. I knew the blanks in my memory wouldn't magically fill, so I got the hell out of their so I could go to the bar.

Same thing with BEC, finished in about 1.5 – 2 hours. Felt so/so about the MCQs and the first two writing portions. Third one, I just didn't give a shit.

I will say be careful in feeling confident about your performance. I didn't walk out of either of my test thinking I passed (or failed). I simply was relieved that it was over for now, and that it could go either way. You will find a lot of people who are sure they did great, only to fail, and a lot of people who were sure they failed, only to score 90 or better.

I finished FAR with about 30-45 minutes to spare and did fine on it. It's definitely possible.

I left with an hour left on the clock, I was totally not expecting that.

I thought I was going to use up the entire time. MCQs were done in 1.5 hours.

I will let you know if I passed in a week, I actually felt good about my SIMS so I'm trying not to freak out too bad. Check out my FAR exam experience I just posted.

I also finished quickly even after taking a 15 minute break. As someone said, if you knew what you were doing, and you could explain it to me if I asked, you've passed!
