    Hi all,

I recently took FAR for the first time in July and just got my score back and got a 73. I totally bombed the simulation that requires the FASB codification lookup. I never practiced those sims or even watched a video on how to find the answer. I feel so stupid for not practicing or even watching 1 video before the exam. Now I have to re-take it next month……..

    Hope for the best

Stinks that you failed but good that you know why. Those are the easiest points on the exam so just practice those if you can (Becker has those Sims) and you're golden.

I did the same thing on my first exam which was Reg. Didn't practice them and was super confused on the exam.

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 92
    FAR - 87
    REG - 78

This is a common mistake. It's unfortunate you would have passed with that question correct.

When preparing for your retake, do the research questions manually and you will be ready to go on exam day. It will force you to read carefully and think about which section and subsection you need to be looking.

    AUD - 75
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 79
    REG - 77
    AUD-75
    BEC-84
    FAR-79
    REG-77

Don't worry. I'm in the same situation as you but I retook the FAR. You will pass. Just do all your homework. Hopefully I passed FAR too this testing window.

I took FAR back in December 2020. I scored a 47. I took a break and studied for about 3 months (on and off), I retook the exam in July 2021 and passed with a 76. Im taking REG next, im hoping those exams will be a bit easier.
