Hi everyone,

Wanted to get some insight on how some fair that have Wiley CPAexcel, the practice exam vs actual exam. I’m studying for REG and would like to know if I can rely on my practice exam score after review?

Wiley's practice exams have been pretty far off for me. Their sims don't work very well, so it's hard to get an accurate score from the full length practice exams. They grade correct answers wrong, penalize for incorrect format, etc.

FAR - 88
BEC - 96
AUD - 93
REG - 93

I only studied with Wiley and its Test Bank and passed all on my first try. I found Wiley's test questions to be more difficult than the ones on the actual exam. As the above poster said, Wiley's program does not grade you accurately on SIMs, but do study them! If you work the problems and understand how they got the answer, you will be just fine! Just because it doesn't grade you well doesn't mean it won't prepare you for the actual exam.

Overall I think it's fairly close and should give you an idea of what your score will be around. When I took REG I scored around 85% on a couple of practice exams and ended up scoring an 80% on the exam.

Yeah, I passed two sections by only using Wiley.
