Just trying to get a feel for how Wiley measures up vs the CPA exam. Just took my first practice exam for AUD.

I have only taken 1 practice exam and that was AUD with Wiley. I thought the actual exam was a little easier, minus a couple SIMS that rocked me. I wouldn't worry too much about practice exams. IMO, doing MCQ/SIMS with instant feedback is a better investment of your time.

Yeah, I tried the MC testlets in the Wiley books mostly to get some fresh questions, but was still getting only like 60-70% correct. So I wouldn't put too much stock in them.

I shoot 85-90% on the Wiley practice exams, but only use them to get used to the amount of questions I'll take on exam day.

I had success with AUD in March 2015 with a score of 78 and was averaging a 90% on practice exams.
I had success with REG in November 2017 with a score of 82 and was averaging about 85% on practice exams.

Not sure if that helps you at all.

I have taken two practice exams so far and scored an 81 and and 84. I realize the MCQ sections are where I will draw the most realistic comparisons to the CPA exam: got 77% PE1 and 89% PE@ MCQ. Honestly the second Practice test I really coasted through the Sims because I knew I had done so well on the MCQ and the sims aren't super realistic. The research one, one about assertions, and maybe one about report contents, but that was really it. My key for this exam has to be MCQs. I don't want to be at the mercy of CPA sims.

I've been doing sets of 20 MCQs and averaging 80% correct. How does that translate to the exam? Is wiley MCQ harder than the actual exam. I know Gleim is notorious for this.
