    Wiley Question –

    Just got a sim in my AUD study software that was a research simulation but the auditing statements were not an option to research from. Only the FASB Codification and the Internal Revenue Code were available. Has anybody else had this issue. I’m sure the real exam will be better prepared than that but that really just threw me off.

    @jsdailey yeah if you go to the student discussion board in Wiley there is a recent post where Wiley support says it is a known issue and should be corrected by mid-week at the latest. The ridiculous amount of technical issues they've had this year is so frustrating.

    Yep, I am having the same issue. I stopped reporting issues to WileyCPA because there were so many. I just use the internet to find the correct AU-C. I don't know how this company is still in business. Maybe it's the professors teaching the lessons.

    Their software doesn't expire and the fact that a lot of universities use WileyPlus certainly helps business. And the dip in price from Becker. I was a campus rep in college for Wiley so I got the system for free. I can't complain about a free system and besides a couple of bugs I don't have many complaints about it. That was just bizarre when I got hit with a research sim and the standards weren't there.

    I love how I hear about all of these Wiley problems a few months after I drop a few thousand on their review course. SMH.

    Wiley has done it again. First, I took a 12 problem TBS and then the software messed up again. I originally received a 76%, but after trying to review my answers it showed I didn't complete 3 out of 12. Now, my score is a 14%. What a joke. WileyCPA is useless. How are we supposed to prepare for the CPA when Wiley is unreliable. Also, I did report issues to Wiley, but their responses were condescending so I stopped reporting them.

    Yeah, Wiley's software is a joke. Their IT team REALLY dropped the ball in the 4th Q of 2017. It was terrible. You'd think their IT team is full of political science majors. Their software is terrible, but it didn't stop me from going 4/4 in 7 months. It can be done.

    @Bourne has a good point. Having any software is really helpful. But, if the candidate doesn't put in the work and work and work and work and work at it, then it doesn't matter. The software's best feature to me is the calendar and the questions. Helps me stay on track and the MCQ explanations are very good. The sims are another story, very glitchy, but better than no exposure to TBS until exam day.

    @Bourne

    Thanks for the input! I am going to stick with it because I paid over $2,100. lol It's good to hear you went 4/4. That gives me some hope and confidence. I want to finish ASAP, but I won't know my results because I will taking one or two exams in Q3 with the long reporting delays. 🙁

    @jsdailey

    I like the MCQ as well, but like you said the TBS are another story. If your business model resolves around software then you need to make sure it is running efficiently.
