Good afternoon my name is Tiffinae. I started this journey 10 years ago, I took a pause because being a single mom and studying was too much for me then. The youngest graduated in June, so I decided to start again. I bought Wiley when they were CPA Excel and I reactivated it. Yeah, for the unlimited access to you pass.

I am currently studying for FAR, and I'm unsure when I plan to take the exam. I got off track with studying, and I must admit I'm struggling with the amount of information and procrastination.

nice work! happy to hear you're back at it. i have wiley too.
i felt overwhelmed with grad school, and truly thought i couldn't do it, and i pushed through and graduated.
i truly didn't think i would ever pass FAR, i took the test 4 times– but i passed!
things always seem impossible until they're done. FAR can feel overwhelming, but just take it topic by topic. i had a separate notebook where i made like.. a “cheatsheet” for topics so i didn't have to waste time looking them up. for instance, for intercompany transactions, Pam gives you a “tool” that is really helpful, but it's hard to memorize it. so i write that in the notebook so i could have easy access to it when i came across an MCQ. the more i referenced it, the more it got engraved in my memory. eventually, i didn't have to look at the cheatsheet anymore. i did this with many topics, just helpful tools/notes/formulas, keep writing paragraphs to a minimum unless you really find something valuable.
if you're adamant about getting through this- maybe schedule an exam. that way you have a deadline and can't afford to let yourself get off track. the cost of the test application will keep you motivated because you won't want to dish out that money again!
sorry- long post,– i hope something here helps!
