    Wiley Question –

I hate to beat a dead horse regarding CPAexcel, but I’m in the beginning phases of studying for BEC, and it certainly doesn’t seem like there are that many MCQ or SIMs to practice with. I purchased NINJA BEC MCQ that I plan to use during a final review for more practice, but being that the bulk of my studying will be in CPAexcel, I’m starting to get a bit worried that I’m not doing enough. Anyone with CPAexcel feel that way???

What do they call an accounting person, who only managed a 75 on all four parts of the CPA exam....you got it, CPA!!!

    BEC (2/28/16) ----- 78
    FAR (09/10/16)-----
    AUD
    REG

    CIA, CGAP, CFE

Looking for a very good challenging test bank? Sign on with Ninja, by far much better than cpaexcel.

    It begins with a 75

I don't have my BEC Score yet, but I'm using CPAExcel and Ninja MCQ. I tend to spend weekdays with CPAExcel; watching the videos, reading the text and taking notes and then doing the end of section quizzes. And then on weekends I like to hit the corresponding topics in Ninja MCQ. Allow time for it to build up, you want to spend some time reviewing previosu sections and not just focusing on the new material. It seemed to work for me for AUD and BEC (hopefully), so I'm following the same pattern for REG. I like to make sure I'm done with all the material about two weeks before the exam and then just spend the last bit of time with a practive exam and then focusing on weaker areas from that for a few days. Rinse and repeat.

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 83
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training

    @Lindsay:

I haven't bothered to read the text, because it seems like the videos are verbatim the same thing as the text. It just seems like I get done with the lessons (at least so far), much quicker than anticipated, and I question just how much I'm actually getting out of it. I do have a subscription to Ninja MCQs as well, so I think hammering them simultaneously is probable the way to go; or at least allowing myself time at the end to hit Ninja thoroughly.

I felt like CPAexcel prepared me well for BEC and the multiple choice very good. There were several questions on the exam that were practically word for word with questions from Wiley's test bank. This was prechange though. I made an 83 but I think I would have done a lot better if I hadn't mismanaged my time for thr WC part. I gave myself 50 minutes. I let time get away from me and when I finished my first essay, I only had 15 minutes to answer the other two essays. Luckily, the one I answered well must have not been a pretest essay.

Just pay attention to IT. I felt like BEC was the hardest to study for because the material was extremely boring.

    AUD - 88
    BEC - 83
    FAR - 79
    REG - 91
    Done!
