Wiley Question –

I dont know how this went under the FAR section but it pertains to REG. These questions are beyond ridiculous….

Yikes, 30-40%? Wiley isn't overly difficult and pretty much resembles what you'll see on the exam. Just keep grinding away until you are up closer to 70-80%.

@goodluck2everyone, keep plugging away! I'd recommend going at a super snail pace. Meaning if you get something wrong, sit there with the question for a second reading all the right and wrong answers, analyzing the question until you understand it. Tell yourself “alright I got this question wrong now, but I'm never going to get it wrong again”

I feel your pain. I have encountered the same thing. I am working the Wiley questions (all of them) in each section first, then I go to the Becker supplemental in the corresponding category. I have hit a wall, since I got to the Business Law categories. UGH. I started off great in tax and now I am in scramble mode. I almost ordered a Roger cram, as I was losing faith in the Yaeger cram. I am just going to reread the chapters I am having trouble with (Wiley book, they are shorter than Becker) and go back to the questions till I get in 80 range.

You are not alone!!! When do you sit? I am sitting on 11/1..supposed to start my final review this Friday, not sure I can get there if I don't do better!

Don't lose faith, like Mini said, just keep hammering away at the mcq's, and read thru all the answers to really understand why each one is right or wrong…..it will come. Best of luck 🙂

same thing happens w/ Gleim at least for FAR..so now I'm doing CPA Excel and Gleim cuz I want no surprises on party day…

Just FYI, some of the testbanks have a reputation of being harder. For instance, Gleim is tough. But I think it is good to use the harder testbanks because it will help prepare for those hard (er) testlets. I used Gleim in addition to Becker and Wiley for BEC. I thought Gleim had alot of good mcq's on Corporate Governance.

The Becker supplemental mcq's are tougher as well….and their final exams are insanely tough IMO. Overall I like to supplement Wiley testbank with whatever I am using because I feel like the exam is most similiar to them. For me, I test lower in Wiley than I do in Becker. But that could just be me! I seem to memorize the mcq's fairly quickly in Becker for some reason.

I'm using the Wiley test bank. I always start out with crappy scores…..I'm usually in the 80s by the time I sit for the test.

Keep after it…your scores are normal for starting out, actually.

This is why you don't just do “instructor-assigned” questions.

Do as many as possible.

This is for REG?? I was getting 80s on those Wiley questions, but I ended up getting a 64 on the real thing. I think the actual exam is significantly harder.
