If you have used Wiley Software, could you give me advice?

I am considering adding in a Wiley test bank for AUD to supplement my Bisk stuff. I can’t find anywhere online where I can look at a trial version (I don’t think that option exists anywhere). My choices are:

$60 for the test bank app, but this doesn’t include simulations

    $87 for the software download

My question is, are the sims worth $27? I’m afraid I’ll buy it (when I’ve spent so. much. money. already) and it’ll be the same questions and sims I already have with my Bisk stuff. From what I can tell, almost all of our review materials have the same basic questions–those released by the AICPA, or slightly modified versions.

Did any of you who used Becker and supplemented with Wiley feel like Wiley covered a good number of topics in their testbank that you didn’t see in Becker?

    AUD - 88
    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88

    hey Katie,

I think the sims on Wiley are more indicative of the exam, from my experience. I have only used Wiley and Becker. Becker's sims for REG and Audit seemed fairly easy to what I saw on the exams.

I also think the questions in Wiley are worded differently, in a way that challenged me to apply my knowledge more so than Becker. Honestly, I feel like it is super easy to memorize the questions in Becker versus Wiley. But that is my opinion. But you are right you will see some of the same questions, but not a full blown out exact copy in Wiley.

    I hope that helps!

I used Becker for AUD and supplemented Wiley (I did not for FAR).

My take is nothing can truly prepare you for SIMS. Be familiar with the research tab, and make sure you understand where in the research certain topics are. This will help you tremendously in SIMs. Really knowing the MCQ will also help quite a bit.

Wiley did cover material that I did not see in Becker, but you will see A LOT of repeat questions across review materials because they get their MCQ from the same place…the AICPA.

I felt it was worth it, and I will definitely be supplementing with Wiley for the remainder of my exams.

    FAR - 68, 79
    AUD - 82
    REG - 71, 71, 80
    BEC - 76
