I have Wiley CPAExcel and I am confused

Hi, so I have Wiley CPAExcel and I am loving the format and everything and material, however, I am confused about something. See, I think one thing it lacks is multiple choice. There isn’t a test bank where you can just practice multiple choice. After each section you’ll get questions raging from 3 to about 15. That’s it. So, I feel like I need to pair a test bank program with this. I see that Gleim mega test bank is on sale for $490. So I feel like I should pull the trigger on that. I just did some research that compared the Gleim CPA mega test bank against other review courses and this site that I am looking at states that Wiley CPAExcel offers the most multiple choice questions at over 10k…wtf? Why I am not seeing that? Where are those questions. The questions that they have you work at the end of each section does not add up to 10k. Would be surprised if it added up to 1,000 per section. And there isn’t a spot somewhere on the site where I can just go to the test bank and work those. Am I missing something? Should I pull the trigger on the Gleim Mega test bank?

I have Wiley CPAExcel platinum version and there are test bank MCQs within each lesson. There should be a “test bank” button right next to the “mentoring” button within each lesson.

    FAR-Mar 9,2020 (failed 71), retest May 21
BEC-Passed(I had a few stops and starts because I was studying during my busy season. Lost track of my study stats.)
    AUD-Passed(8 weeks,1877 MCQs, and 38 TBSs)-Wiley
    REG-Passed(10 weeks, 2000 MC)-Wiley

Thanks for the response. I purchased the Silver edition and just realized the test bank does not come with it. That's unfortunate. Usually test banks are part of even the basic version. Anyways, looks like I am going to have to take advantage of this Gleim test bank discount because I feel like the question WileyCPAExcel offers after the end of each section is not enough.

I actually just made this discovery this week, (after getting through 90% of the Wiley Modules ugh) and found that if you go to the tool bar directly above the overview on a lesson. Go to the far right and there is a ‘+' icon. From there you can customize the lesson content. This includes adding “Supplementary Questions” and “Knowledge Checks.” The supplementary questions give you 10-15 extra MCQ, and the knowledge checks ~3-10 T/F. Hope this helps!

Those knowledge checks already show up at the bottom of each of my lessons, those extra supplemental questions did not, but I see now how to get them added. However, those plus the 5-15 questions after each section just doesn't seem enough. I wanted a text bank where I could just grind out MC's and MC's as well and TBS's.

I have the silver package as well, and a test bank DOES come with it. Have you purchased within the last 2 weeks? When I bought mine, the test bank didn't show up until the 2 week trial was up, even when I paid. It should be on the left about half way down under “current assignment”. If you've had it more than 2 weeks, then contact Wiley.

RyonT, to confirm this, I went to Wiley's product page and it shows that the test bank is NOT included with the silver package. It only has the check-mark of the test bank for their platinum course.

I purchased this much longer than 2 weeks ago. And no, under current assignment nothing stating test bank shows up. The only thing that shows up under current assignment is that current lesson plan. At the bottom is some T/F question and then a link for 5-15 MCQ following each assignment.

The silver version comes with 8,000 mcqs and 300tbs (as evidenced by your link). For example, AUD has 2,361 mcq (which does include end of chapter questions) That is much more than just the questions at the end of the chapter. The test bank isn't IN the current assignment Go to the dashboard screen and on the left of the screen, there are several tabs (Dashboard, syllabus, notes, etc). The test bank should be there about half way down. If it isn't there, contact them. It wouldn't make sense for a review company to not give a test bank.

I have the platinum version and I almost would rather have purchased silver and bought Ninja as supplement. Instead, I purchased platinum and use Ninja as supplement. I haven't used much of Wiley's extended test bank

Even though I may eventually receive access to their test bank, I am leaning towards getting Gleim's Mega Test Bank since it is priced at $490 now. My plan is to go through all of wiley cpa excel and then once completed, leave a few weeks until the exam and just grind out MCQ's and TBS's within Gleim.

    @ AventusCPA

I used Wiley for FAR and supplemented with NINJA MCQ/Gleim's test bank. I'm a huge fan of Gleim's test bank because I learn more effectively from its MCQ explanations than the other courses. NINJA is good too and I use it every time to switch it up but if I had to go with one I'd go with Gleim.

I have used Wiley for Aud, Reg and BEC now. Passed all three. However I purchased the silver package and never had the test bank available. I discovered after two exams, that if you download the app, then you automatically get the testbank. So for the third exam I used my phone to go through a lot of the testbank questions after I would watch the videos and take the knowledge checks, etc.

I am studying for FAR now, and had to renew the subscription in December for another year. When it renewed, I had the test bank available on the desktop version on the left hand side.

So just call customer service and tell them you need the test bank and I am sure they will get that to you.

Depending on the section and how fast you pick things up Wiley was sufficient for me to pass and I only drilled about 60% of the total questions in AUD and BEC and took all 2-3 final exams to practice before the test.

The only section I believe I completed 100% was REG.

I used Ninja MCQ for FAR.

Wiley CPA Excel is certainly a sufficient course to pass but it's not without flaws. The FAR material is far too much content to get through in a reasonable time if you do 100% of everything.

I ended up passing using CPA Excel almost exclusively… Many others have it can be done.. and I'm thankful for the free until you pass feature.
