It depends how you learn, honestly. I originally ordered the platinum wiley…I used it for a month or two then switched over to ninja full time (not just saying this because we're on A71's forum). I like doing mcq and reading the answers, kind of teaching myself. Becker and Wiley give you a lesson plan to follow but I don't think it's that effective. Bottom line, people have passed with every study software. Ninja is less expensive and works well.

    FAR- 5/11/15 76!!
    AUD-10/31/15 63, 84!
    REG-7/12/16 72
    BEC-8/31/15 75!! Perfect Score!

I used Wiley, not sure what version but I really like it a lot because it has bite sized lessons. I could literally choose to do 10 or 20 or even 100 questions if I wanted to. I used ninja but not sure if it had bite-sized lesson. Both are great. I'd say if you are on a budget then ninja is for you. Ninja MCQ's are just as good as Becker. I never read the book so I only used MCQ with Wiley and I bough Ninja for BEC as I hated ratios and wanted as much practice as I could possible get.

I use Wiley's platinum course then supplement my review with ninja MCQ and notes. It's been an effective combo thus far.

Just got Wiley Platinum & NINJA Ten-Point Combo (both for FAR only – it's my first exam). My study “plan” technically begins tomorrow (June 1st – I test August 31st) but last couple of days have been switching between both, but mostly have been hitting NINJA MCQs. However, I used these couple of “preliminary” days just to get my feet wet and my brain warmed up, but I am going to start the structured lessons tomorrow, and after a couple I should have an idea if it's effective for me.

I used Wiley for Audit (81) and Far (5/27/2017). Highly recommend! I did not go to school for accounting (long story). So I benefited tremendously from the Wiley lectures. I also feel strongly that the phone app helped me with speed in answering questions. Note that I initially used Becker. However, I felt like their lessons were more about acronyms and gimmicks and not well suited for understanding the material.

Been using Wiley for just over a week now. It's nice to have shorter lessons that are hyper-focused on one topic. I take notes with each lecture, read the notes below the video (which are more detailed) and then take the assessments. As others have said, I think it's good for people who want more structure and also want more information.
Based on what others have been saying, there isn't such a thing as too much knowledge for the FAR exam. There are a couple gimmicks/quirks in the software but for the most part I've enjoyed the lessons.
