This is not a Surgent CPA Review ad, far from it.

I am mainly using Becker & Gleim.

But I am just utilizing Surgent CPA Review’s 5 day free trial and quite impressed.

Check them out if a particular course is not working for you.

Their practice sims are IMO better than most sims out there.

Ive got surgent, their far and aud test bank was good. Did not like their bec bank at all.
Im not a fan of their videos either. Having used both roger and surgent, id go with roger.

I'm using Surgent, I like some of the features but others have left me unimpressed. They have you go through an assement phase where you answer 450 questions to help identify areas of weekness. You have to complete the assessment in order to unlock the rest of the software. I'm not a fan of this, I initially thought I would be but find that I really need to review all the material at the beginning of my study before answering any MCQS.
The videos are hit and miss. I've loved the ones for far the instructors are good and teach the topics as if they were giving a class on it. I half assed Becker years ago, and hated that it all felt like review. They expected you to already know the concepts and therefore approached it like review. I hated the REG videos for surgent the voices and approach was hard to watch. I did pass REG after only 5 weeks of studying, and I work full time. I do have tax experience (HR Block) but I don't think that alone cut my study time down.

To me surgent would work best as a follow up after using a different program. If the subject isnt fresh on your mind I find the skipping around makes it hard to learn if its something you arent familiar with or new to.

I am using the trail for AUDIT and the simulation seem better than Becker.
