I have passed 3 exams using becker, i got the dreaded 74 on REG the other day!! I study ridiculously hard and I felt like I knew everything in that becker book. I also used the wiley 2012 questions; however i did not do as many wiley questions as I had on the other 3 parts. I do not like the wiley 2012 version, it seemed that too many questions were contradicting the becker teachings. Im hearing that becker’s weakest link is REG, and those that do pass with becker barely pass. With 3 chances left, I want to knock this exam out of the park. Sooo I’m thinking of switching to a completely new course. I’m going to retake exam in late May.

It looks like either Yaeger or UWorld Roger CPA Review. Has anyone had any experience with Yaeger or Roger for REG?

I passed REG with Yaeger. First I used the homestudy course and got a 73 (above average on SIMs lower on most MCQs categories but I didn't know how to study for CPA). I then took the Yaeger CRAM and was able to pass with a 78. I actually didn't find much difference between CRAM and Homestudy so would be curious if anyone else thinks you could save money and just get CRAM.

In the end Phil isn't very energetic and possibly hard to listen to but if you just want the facts in a no nonsense fashion I feel Yaeger does a good job.

    AUD - 81 (05/11/12)
    BEC - 86 (08/11/12)
    REG - 73 (11/10/11),78 (01/07/12)
    FAR - 77 (2/25/12)

Go with Roger, only because I don't like Phil's “do only my questions” advice.

Thanks guys! @CPAMan- What did you do to go from a 74 on REG to an 84? Also, congrats on passing!

@Ssquared- It wasn't easy, lol. I read the Gleim book, practiced with over 2,000 questions in the Gleim test prep, and did all the Simulations on the Wiley book and software. This was a tough part to pass, I tell ya. But with a lot of hard work, it can be done.
