    Hi there,

I just saw the new addition of SmartPath to the UWorld Roger CPA Review. Has anyone used SmartPath yet with their studying? If so, what are your initial thoughts? It looks pretty neat, and I’m hoping it might help provide a little extra motivation for my REG retake.

    AUD - 79 (expires 2/28/18)

    BEC - 73, 71, 83

    FAR - 74, 79

    REG - 74, Retake - 2/26/18

I can appreciate the motivation behind it, but it might be a touch excessive.
I looked at the smartpath suggestions for both FAR and AUD (see scores below) and I was very far from reaching the recommended goals as far as percentages go for more than half the categories in FAR, and none of the categories in AUD.
I feel if you hit those bench marks you will be OVER prepared.

I am looking at the REG smartpath benchmarks as I go, and calculated the amount of questions I would need to complete getting everything correct would be astronomical to bump my percentages up to their suggested level.
I'm currently at 640 MCQs in REG and overall average is 80% (Only up to Section 13, did at least half the questions for each section 1-13, while leaving some new questions in the tax stuff to review before exam.)

I did every MCQ in FAR and 1000 in AUD and I think my average for both was about 75% cumulative. (83.9 FAR 1334/1589, 75.2 AUD 752/1000)
17/31 had Green marks in FAR smartpath, 4/31 were yellow and the rest say needs more work.
3/9 RED in aud, 4/9 yellow, 2/9 needed more questions to hit target.

Cliffs – valuable resource, but don't get bogged down with the % correct as recommended, but I would suggest doing every MCQ if you have the time.
    Your results may vary.

AUD-88 12/7/17 (3 wks, 85 hrs, Roger 1000 MCQs no SIMs hail mary)
    REG-96 1/18/18 (6 wks, 110 hrs, 1400 MCQs, no SIMs)
    BEC-91 2/16/18 (4wks, 90 hrs, 1240 MCQs)

Also, for what its worth, The Gleim TB breaks the topics down further than just the 20 sections.
Each of the 20 sections are further broken down into the chapters within that topic, so you can really see in black and white the areas you struggle vs the areas you are doing well in. If you have poor averages in one section it can really help to see where you need to focus your energy.
So Roger's IPQs will give you a percentage for individuals or business, but Gleim's score results show you that you need work on AMT, or Phaseouts, etc.
Just picking the topics off the top of my head but I think you get the idea.
I am not using Gleim for REG so far, and probably will not.

Cliffs again – Roger Smartpath provides a visual aspect that makes it more comparable to Gleims graphs, but the Gleim TB provides more detailed feedback so you can focus on your weak areas.
