ParticipantAnyone used Roger Cram to study for the exam and had a good experience? I have a coworker who swears by it. But I just looked it up and it's $970 for online, which is only 2 months of access or $995 for the flash drive which grants you 8 months of access. Obviously online would be more convenient, but 2 months of access for all four parts is a little ridiculous. Anyone have any experience with using Roger Cram? Success stories? Suggestions? Anything really. I'm so ready to pass and be done with this exam.

InactiveI swear by Roger Cram as well. My first round scores were similar to yours using Becker. Ninja released MCQs and I purchased those plus Roger Cram (by each section, not all at once). The price for Roger Cram is the same if you buy them all right now or individually (at least it was). Also, you can purchase all of them, but not activate 3 of them. 2 months per section is a good amount of time. I'm currently using Roger's Audit Cram plus Ninja MCQs for hopefully my last exam and I think it's a perfect combo. Good luck with what you decide!

ParticipantI used the cram for audit. I never purchase all 4 at one time. I get one section at a time. I only purchased it because of my last audit score. Also, if you call them to order they will wait to activate your access since they ship the book and it takes a while with UPS. I got ground shipping and got my book a week later and I did not want my access to start before getting the book.
If you are thinking about it just get one at a time.

ParticipantI have the Roger full course and have bought the Audit and BEC cram. Both I can attest that it's almost like the full course except with out some of the unnecessary fluff. The book is also very similar in size and in content as the full course, except for a lot of MCQs like the full course. Of course the cram does not come with the test bank but don't worry not missing much there. This is all to say that I recommend the cram but like a poster said above just give them a call to have them wait on when they set up your access or you can buy one at a time, up to you. If I were you I would also get NINJA MCQs for sure…if you can afford more then the notes and audio are awesome as well. 🙂

ParticipantI've done Becker and I just don't feel like it's working for me. (Add that to the fact that I was pregnant while studying and now have a very active one year old and it's a combo for disaster) But my husband is super supportive and he just wants me to get this done. So I'm thinking of trying Roger Cram and seeing if I like it.
Thanks for all of your input! I appreciate it!

ParticipantI am doing my retake for FAR and debated if i should get his cram for FAR…. I used the Ninja Book/MCQ and my buddies 2014 Becker Final Review. If i have to take it again i will give my self longer than 5 weeks to study and purchase the cram. My question is for AUD i scored a 70 on my exam is this something i need or could i get away with studying a little harder next time?

Participant@Kyle…you were pretty close so I would say that you probably have most of the concepts down so I would concentrate on MCQs only and reading notes or flash cards every day. I'm studying for my BEC retake and I honestly feel like re-watching videos or a Cram would be a waste of time at this point. So far going the MCQ route and re-reading notes is working well…I also plan to re-write notes like Jeff suggests.

Participant@acollins423 – I loved Roger Cram but: 1-you have to have a good understanding of the material already and 2-your fail score has to be close to a pass (5-10 points away). With your scores, I would recommend something else. Either way, don't buy all 4 sections at the same time, no matter how much money you save with a package…

Participant@Last Chance CPA I completely agree about not buying all 4 parts at the same time. Don't get me wrong I love Roger but you really do lock yourself in a CPA course by going that route and if you don't like it then you're stuck like chuck.

Another helpful hint is to focus on one section of the exam at a time, get a pass then move on. It looks like you tried them all once, I'd suggest picking a section you feel the most comfortable with, and studying that section until you achieve a pass.
Grab the cram for a section the ninja mcq for a section and then just go at it until you get that 75 +.

ParticipantNute is right. And I strongly believe the order matters as well…FAR, AUD, REG, and BEC last. I, of course, couldn't pass REG 4 times and passed BEC on the 1st try, so my pattern blew up. I would bundle FAR/AUD and BEC/REG at the very least…
AUD - 75
BEC - 75
FAR - 76

Participant@acollins423 did you end up purchasing the FAR cram for your retake? I see that you passed the second time, which is awesome! So I wonder if that helped
