[CPA IS A_WIP]

Hello A71 Community,

Hope everyone is doing well. I have been away for a while, and I have returned once more. I have decided to give the CPA exam one more shot! I work full-time as a senior accountant in local government, with 1 hour commute to and from work, and I am a single father to a 5 year old son. I saved up some funds and purchased Roger CPA Review – Elite Unlimited package. I plan to give it my all and finally pass! I want to pass in 6 to 9 months. However, I have been out of academia since 2010 and the last time I tested was in 2015. That being said, am I destined for failure since I have been out of school since 2010? For those of you that utilized Roger Review course, what was your approach to maximize the effectiveness of the material?

I remember a CPA_IS_A_WIP from when i was studying from 2105-2016. You? You can do this now that you have decided to go all in. I work in Fed govt and love it. I am a happy govt CPA and you will be too. 9 months should be ample time but with a 5 year old you may want to give yourself 12. Take them one at a time. Set a goal of no retakes and study to make 100 on each one. It will all come back to you as you dig in. With continuous testing it is so easy to keep moving forward. Positive self-talk matters so always tell yourself you can do this. FAR then AUD, then REG or BEC. The first two are the most arduous and important hurdles to clear on this journey. Embrace the process and enjoy the learning as you go. Good luck!🍀
