I used Roger for all 4 parts, but I supplemented with Ninja MCQ. Roger's teaching style is great and it really worked for me. However, Ninja MCQ just solidified my understanding through pure repetition.

I will know for sure after I take FAR on Monday, but I think it's enough. I've passed all 3 of mine on the first attempt only using Roger. I will say though that he does go fast and he skims over some details. I like it because he gets to the point, but I also have been working for several years, so I don't need a lot of detailed explanations about most topics.

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16

This is something I have struggled with for awhile. I use Roger and I passed AUD right away after purchasing his course (I switched over to him after a few months of unsuccessful attempts with another course) and I passed BEC a few months after that. I was cruising but I got in my own way and thought that his program wasn't enough. His lectures were great, but the MCQ were definitely lacking. I primarily thought this because of how well I was doing on his MCQ and barely passing on the real exam (although I ultimately don't care what score I get, I just wanted to feel more prepared sitting for the exam). I then went on a downward spiral of trying Gleim and NINJA back and forth the next few months. Two close calls on REG and now I am sitting here worried about my Audit score expiring when after passing BEC I never would have imagined that to be the case. I am taking REG on the last day of the quarter and then will only have one chance to pass FAR.

Don't overthink things like I did. The Gleim system did not fit my learning style, although I do like their simulations as a final review. I'm back to using Roger for lectures and learning the concepts, and NINJA MCQ for practice. I recommend using Roger for lectures, and if you are going to use anything to supplement his program, get NINJA MCQ

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 83
    REG - 83
    Licensed FL CPA

    AUD- 71,79
    BEC- 72,77
    FAR- 83
    REG- 63,71,83

    DONE!

*I don't know how to bold quotes but I completely agree with this*

“His lectures were great, but the MCQ were definitely lacking. I primarily thought this because of how well I was doing on his MCQ and barely passing on the real exam (although I ultimately don't care what score I get, I just wanted to feel more prepared sitting for the exam).”

I too have been barely passing but I have been using Becker to supplement during my review. I agree about Roger skipping out the details and that's something you learn from doing MCQs. Overall I've been satisfied with his review course. Best to supplement with another course during review time though.

I tried Roger at first for Audit and i agree that he has great lectures, an easy to read text, but his questions are not that great in preparing you for the exam. Actually used him for my 2012 stint, when he was basically telling which Wiley questions to do, so it probably is a little different now that he has his own test bank.

I know Roger's MCQ bank is smaller than other programs, but I've found the opposite – my practice exam scores with Roger are 5-10 points lower than the score on the actual exam. I was nervous during AUD review because i never had a practice score above 70, but I made an 82 on the real deal. I think people need to keep in mind their preferred learning style, and pick the program that ties into that. It's easier said than done if you are someone who has been out of school for a while. I think Roger is good for me because I'm an auditory learner, but I only pick the information up if I'm engaged. I could see someone who learns more by doing having more difficulty with his program though.
