Final Review Strategy for FAR (Using Roger CPA)

Anyone got any final review strategies for FAR using UWorld Roger CPA Review and Wiley? I was thinking about going through the book again with the notes I’ve already written and add the little “fact nuggets” awaiting me the second time around. Should i go through the Roger assigned HW a second time or could I just bang out some questions on the Wiley software? Thanks

Wow, so many view yet no replies? Very helpful forum we have. smh.

I still have 2 more sections to go over in Becker, but my final review session will be skimming over notes/chapter and then knocking out multiple choice. After each section's MCQ, I would probably right things down that I had a hard time with or know I need to remember.

And don't forget Simulations! They're good for getting an overall understanding of a topic which will help with MCQ

    Perseverance is key. Good luck.

By this time you should be able to just skim through the book to keep the information fresh (2 hrs at the most). The rest of the time should be spent working tons of MCQs and reading your notes (Ninjas maybe). I would pay special attention to PPE, Accounting Errors/Changes, GNFP, Bonds, Leases, Intangibles, and IFRS.

Go to the library and check out Intermediate Accounting: Demystified. That helped me with review.

Re-read every Roger chapter and do every question (in his book). You should know enough that on the drive to the testing center what's in every chapter (just the subjects) and go over them in your mind.

Don't forget to do Wiley questions to keep it fresh, but at least answer every one of Rogers's questions.

Don't forget, you will run out of time on the test, so don't do any big sims first. Do the small ones first then go back to the big ones. If you're really close, fill in zeros for the answers instead of leaving them blank

I passed with a 75 on the first try, but try to aim higher than my score please lol

The government stuff is killing me I feel like I have no chance at all and am starting to wonder

If far will be the death of me. I hope the government questions don't go to deep. Geez almighty.

I will also be writing FAR next week and im pretty sure this exam is going give me a hard time. It seems its almost impossible to retain the crucial topics but anyways, we'll see what happens…

    expect the best
    be prepared for the worst
don't give a damn on what others think &
    do your own thing....
