Wiley vs. Ninja notes for those who passed REG

Okay, here’s where I stand. The 8/30 exam date is looming large.

I went through CPAExcel notes for taxation (all of it) and made note cards for everything. I will review those as many times as I can between now and 8/30.

I bought Jeff’s REG notes for the condensing of the ethics and business law. I’m in the process of note carding Jeff’s notes but I noticed a ton of stuff in Wiley that isn’t in Jeff’s notes–not saying Jeff’s notes are lacking in any way. Most of the stuff extra in Wiley was not on my test but the retest may be completely different.

For those who passed REG using Ninja notes, did you think they were enough for a review? I have 138 pages of typed notes for ethics and business law from Wiley so I don’t have time to card both Jeff’s Ninja notes and Wiley’s.

    Thanks,

In short, Wiley is a book … and NINJA is an outline.

If it's in the NINJA notes – you need to know it. Wiley will delve deeper into topics…… NINJA is a “cram” of sorts.

    Hope that helps?

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

I'd say, when it doubt, use your own notes. Since you took the notes, you've already seen that information once. Re-reading your own notes will only make it stick that much better. Just my opinion though!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

Wiley is a BRAIN DUMP! 😀

I guess I can just card the ninja and then skim my notes on the same section for anything which I think is necessary.

    Thanks,
