NINJA Question –

I tried to import my FAR flashcards for 2016 and Brainscape is telling me that I can’t because importing is only allowed for Brainscape Pro Members? Is anyone else having this problem? I looked at their pricing and it’s a little too high for what I would want to pay.

Sounds like you are having a phone issue. What operating system are you using?

I have the same problem.

It is not a Hardware issue, but it is a software on their portal.

Maybe an issue with uploading the flashcard file type to the brainscape app. Did you try on the web version?

Yep! I tried adding them through the website on my desktop. I've never had a problem uploading flashcards before, I just wanted to update them for 2016.

PC. I guess I could try adding them from an OS. It just really didn't seem to be a software issue. When I click on the Import CSV a message pops up saying, “You need a Brainscape Pro account to import/export CSVs. But you can still study them without a Pro account.”

I would give it the night to see if it is server issue on brainscape but if concerned I would contact Jeff

Ahhh!! Oh no! At least I know I'm not the only one!! I thought I was losing my mind!

I saw the same thing with Brainscape! And there's no way I'm going to pay for a service that used to be free! I'm using Quizlet. You can import but it is a bit manual. For instance, you'll have to format the cards to make sure the entire answer in on the back of it, rather than be its own separate card. To import REG flashcards, it took me around 20 minutes to format and upload each set of flashcards. Best part – FREE. Hope this helps!

Has anyone figured out a work around to the Brainscape flashcard issue? I bought the 10 Pt Combo and am trying to import the flashcards to Brainscape, but I'm also getting the message that I can't import without paying for Pro. Is there another flashcard program out there that will allow a free import of the NINJA flashcards?

I contacted customer service and they said Brainscape recently switched over to a paid service. They said they are working on finding a long term solution. In the mean time they are recomending using an app called Repetitions.
