    NINJA Question –

My BEC is scheduled for 1/21. I have gone through my Becker book, did all the homeworks, did several short (50) progress tests (varied results, 80, 72, 80), and got Ninja MCQ last week. I am doing a combination of progress tests and also hammering the MCQ by section. I have 79 overall in Corporate Governance, doing ok in Economics as well 80%, and I started doing Financial Management section-man oh man! First of all, half of it wasn’t covered in Becker and I can’t get past 68%-sometimes it’s concepts I am not familiar with from Becker, sometimes my own fault (like not reading the questions correctly) but the overall 68% is just discouraging or is it ok considering that these MCQ might be harder than the actual test? I can only do about 100 MCQ a night…Have put in 13 hours so far in Ninja….

Honestly the first 12 hours or so of MCQ drills are pretty rough, but you seem to be doing just fine. I think you'll be much more confident after another two weeks of practice. Also, I regularly was scoring in the mid to high 60s for most of my tests, but turned out fine on the exams. Just keep working at it.

@tg7174- thank you-I am hoping that this grind is going to pay off. It's just after so many weeks of Becker it's almost like starting over, but I know that I just have to keep doing these and practicing until the test, there is no other way:)

I agree that the Ninja MCQ are difficult, but you will be happy that you got tested on those unknown topics now, rather than at test time.
Don't get discouraged, as you have plenty of time till test day.

Keep at it! It's all about repetition. The more you see and practice the problems the more you will understand them. I had the same experience with BEC MCQs. I was discouraged, but with time it all came together. Just make sure you understanding what you're missing on each question.

DISCLAIMER – I never used Ninja

I wouldn't worry about 68's too much, and your progress tests seem pretty positive. That's about what I usually get on Becker progress tests.

There have been several threads in here from people worried about NINJA BEC destroying their confidence, only to find out good things on score release day.

The questions are tough – but it's no different than a hard sparring match prior to a fight – better to get beat up in practice than in the cage.

The test is in a month. You have time. Take a breath and just go at it. The beginning of MCQ is brutal. Eventually you will understand the concepts. And it sounds like your scores are really good for this stage of studying. You will probably need to put another 50 or so more hours into the BEC portion. Two hours a day until test time is plenty enough.
