I feel like I am getting crushed by Gleim REG

    I’ve so far survived all three exams other than REG using Gleim CPA Review and I generally felt well prepared and that I was retaining what I was learning.

    I feel like there is just so much detail in REG that I will always miss some exception here and there or fail to recall some small rule. I spent far more time per study unit and having to do questions and redo them than I did in any of the other sections.

    Even when I put in more time and do more questions, I still am doing weaker. Is Gleim REG just insane or am I just weaker because my background is not in tax?

    BEC - 97
    FAR - 86
    REG - 87

    What are you scores like? Gleim punishes you but also rewards you on exam day from what others have said on here.

    I'm using Gleim exclusively for REG also and feel the same way about my scores during practice. I think that it's not necessary to know every single threshold and phase out limitation. Just know that it exists and understand conceptually how it works.

    A downside to Gleim REG is that I don't recommend it to people who are crunched on time.

    BEC = 79

    AUD = 79

    FAR = 84

    REG = 86

    Prayer + AICPA blueprints = my success

    BEC = 72 (6/08/16)
    FAR = ?
    REG = ?
    AUD = ?

    I'm getting a 75 to 80 if I'm lucky on tax heavy topics but often get around 60-70.

    On law heavy topics, a 75 normally. But the 60s are discouraging especially when I regularly got 80s and sometimes 90s on Bec far and audit.

    My understanding is that Gleim REG has EA questions baked into the test bank.
    The EA exam is tax only and really drills down into the information.
    I would anticipate you will have an easier time on the CPA exam vs the Gleim testbank.
    I have not used the Gleim TB yet, or taken REG, but I did use Gleim for the EA exam and was probably over prepared.

    Just stick with it and keep learning. You'll do fine.

    REG-96 1/18/18 (6 wks, 110 hrs, 1400 MCQs, no SIMs)
    BEC-91 2/16/18 (4wks, 90 hrs, 1240 MCQs)
