Generally I use Roger and Ninja MCQ and I was doing ok with Ninja. I got Gleim test bank and went through 100 questions and scored 57%. There is a lot of details that I couldn’t even find in Roger’s book and never came across in Ninja MCQ …..I am fraid that I might be wasting time with Gleim on details I might not need and leaning to use Ninja only.

Opinion please from those who used Ninja for REG under the new format, did it prepare you for the exam?

I went through all the questions atleast once in Gleim's testbank for REG and failed HORRIBLY! I have audit experience and almost done with my MACC, In my opinion if you do not have a strong background in TAX you may want to get a course that you can actually go through to learn the concepts. Gleim's smart study option – of 20 Study units is great! but takes FOREVER that's why I decided to go to the testbank only – and did practice SIMS.

    AUD - 73(Gleim only), 79(Becker Only)

    BEC- 67, 58(Gleim only), 71 (Becker) 😢

REG- 50 (Gleim only, totally unprepared), retake - April 2018 (Used Becker, Becker Final Review plus Ninja Monthly)

    FAR-tba

Using Becker, Prayer & Anything else that will help.

Are you going to believe me if I say I was planning to put a comment at the end of my post “P.S. @Jeff I already know your opinion” LOL.

But thank you though, it is very helpful to see that analysis

I rely on Ninja's test bank. After 2 very long years I finally passed AUD and FAR using only the Ninja test bank. I'm sticking with this method for REG and BEC this window. With some hard work and God's grace I might finally be done this year. 🙂

I would go with Ninja for the MCQs and use Gleim for the Sims. Gleim really overprepares you for the SIMs and you’ll be able to sift through the amount of information given to you faster.

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 75
    REG - 77
    AUD - 70, 84
    BEC - 67, 74, 75
    FAR - 75
    REG - 77 (lost credit), 71, Retake Q4 2017

REG - 77 (will lose in Jan 2016)

    BEC - 67 74, 75

    AUD - 56, 70, Will try again 🙁

    FAR - ??

    Save the beast for last.

    Hi @pharoah,

Based on my 2017 Q1 & Q3 exams, and what I have been reading here since late August 2017. You really need to have these materials:

    – Since you already have Rogers, just read your REG textbook, no choice. There are more than 50%+ non-calculation problems on REG actual exam.

    – If you are thinking of supplementing, make sure you at least have the Ninja ‘Sniper' package. It has the book, notes, audio, and Ninja plus to go with the Ninja MCQs?SIMs app you already have.

    – If you don't want to add any more Ninja products, download an old Wiley REG textbook, at least 2013/2014 old, but not older than that. Briefly read it.

    – For SIMs, it seems a lot of Gliem CPA candidates are happy with their SIMs materials for the actual exam. Haven't tried it.

For the actual exam, you really need to read your whole textbook + notes. By reading, you at least cover 50-60%+ of your score. Practicing MCQs/SIMs will give you that passing mark (15-25%+).

I have seen pre-2015 Becker's test bank, pre-2015 Wiley test bank, and just starting with Ninja. Haven't seen Ninja's REG and BEC MCQs yet, soon. Just Finishing Ninja Plus (FAR/REG/BEC), part of my notes, and also for the SIMs/MCQs practices.

In closing, you need a textbook & notes to do Ninja's MCQs & Ninja SIMs. If you have a copy of most of the AICPA newly released exams, at least 2005-2016, that would be a big help too. These AICPA newly released exams are very similar to actual REG exam.

    Good luck.

I took and passed REG on Sep 10 of this year. I read and took notes to the Becker book in about 3 weeks and along the way I did about half of the mcqs after each module. in week 4 I did non stop MCQs. I passed with an 81. Becker while studying, Ninja as review. Some questions are duplicate, but it's cool.

    AUD - 64, 80 Passed on 10/09/17

    BEC - 75 Passed on 12/09/17

    FAR - 69, 71, 73, 83 Passed on 06/10/18

    REG - 81 Passed on 09/10/17
