Ive added Gleim CPA Review MCQ and SIM as im preparing for my second round for REG. Although i believe im much more prepared now compared to my first go around, but Gleim questions never seem easy as they can get very detailed with the questions. Anyone would like to share their experiences with Gleim?

I used Gleim to Pass after other providers like Wiley's and Bisk had Failed.

After the first 6 fails, I pass all 4 exams consecutively with GLEIM. Last section was FAR, and I will tell you that it was BRUTAL!!!

You are really getting your money's worth for that provider.

Does anyone know how many MC and SIMS the Gleim mega test bank has for REG? I can't seem to find that info on their website.

    Done! Thank you A71!

There is like 5-10 sims for each section and there is like 20 sections in total. For the MCQ, just a little shy of 3000 MCQ questions.

    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81
    REG - 82

They'll have you do at least 10 sims for each study unit, so 200 total. But I think the bank of available sims is much bigger, so you could do more. I'm not sure about other study systems, but the sims on Gleim look just like what you'll see on the exam.

    AUD - NINJA in Training
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - 84
    REG - 90

Been using Gleim and I was wondering if there was a way to create custom quiz to practice SIMs?
Or do I just have to go to each study unit individually and work at 5 sims at a time? :T

@plewpaasdfasd That is one of the biggest downfall of Gleim. No ability to mix and set a study session with just with sims.

@Anthony: Why is that a downfall for Gleim? You have access to lot of sims – not sure of the exact amount. My score on the sims (5 sims) of one unit were not good overall & the adaptive system suggested that I take another set of sims. I took another set & got 5 sims again but different from the 1st set. For FAR, you get different sims in the sense you don't get sims with the quantities different for calculation questions. So assuming that there are at least 10 sims for each of the 20 units, you have about 200 sims. That is a considerable number & while there is no guarantee that you will get the same kind of sims, it certainly prepares you well for the exam. Further, the sims are so challenging that it tests your knowledge of the concepts so thoroughly that knowing even the smallest details to answer a question correctly is important. That IMO is the difference of a pass or fail. Ya, it would have been nice to have custom quiz for sims, but let's just make use of what is offered. Btw, I am not a Gleim employee, just a user who loves the product.

    @plewpaasdfasd
: Don't worry about looking for custom quizzes for the sims. Try to do all the sims by going through each unit. If you don't have time, start a set of Adaptive Simulation in a unit & submit them right away to see the answers & go through the explanations right away.

@sacpa It's just annoying there is no way to mix sims together from different study units. I would have liked to try to emulate the real exam as much as possible in terms of the randomness of topics like a custom MCQ study session from all topics. If I just want to do a quick set of 1-3 sims, I can't. There no way to select that single sim I'm looking for that I want to practice other than looking at the past submitted answers. Just a minor annoyance.

@Anthony: Make this suggestion in the evaluation offered after completing an unit &/or call Gleim & let them know.

When Gleim changed their old format to the current, adaptive method I also got so annoyed. But I got used to the new format very quickly. I started focusing on the material rather than getting annoyed with these small things. Pick the unit which has the sims that you want & start a set of sims. If the sim you want is not in that set, delete it. Then start another set of sims. I have not done more than 2 sets in an unit, so not sure whether there are more than 10 sims for each unit.

I am younger (pun intended) & I have learned through the years to do the best with what I have. I read this quote somewhere: Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.
