    Hey,

This is a topic I haven’t seen much of on ANOTHER 71 since I started coming on here.

I am a GLEIM user and have not supplemented with any other course or materials, but I do like to do some actual reading to help reinforce concepts in question. For this next exam, I would like to purchase a new REG review book (without the rest of the course), because I’m assuming my pre-TCJA 2018 Gleim Book is useless. Does anybody have a recommendation on a review course with the best REG Textbook? To help with note-taking, for reference, and just to give my eyes a break from a computer screen for a bit.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Happy testing

    Hi there,

Have you considered investing into Ninja monthly? I use Wiley and supplement with Ninja. I primarily use the Ninja Notes, Audio, and MCQs. The notes are high level, but I feel they do a good job of grasping some of the changes regarding TCJA.

CH89 I'm using WIley too and considering supplementing with Ninja…I'm studying for FAR…To what extent do you use WIley? Just the videos and the assessments? And have you taken any exams yet?

By the way what is TCJA???

@BrightLight – I use Wiley for just about everything else, reading the book/study guide, lesson assessments, and their Test Bank. I find Ninja is easier to use while at work and driving to work. Yes, I've recently taken REG. TCJA is the Tax Cut and Jobs Act.

Hi Jd, Ok let me give you an advise. I would contact Gleim for a replacement book first and foremost. There is no way that you should be reading a 2018 book. If you are a digital learner, they should have an eBook that matches with 2019. And yes, supplementing with Ninja is a very good idea. I am going to be doing that myself when I start this process. Please keep us updated. Hopefully Gleim is able to send you a 2019 book for your studies.

I like the ninja notes. I really don't want to read the book but the Ninja book is much smaller and to the point than the other books. So I would consider Ninja or like the others have said get the updated book if it save you money. My husband said I couldn't spend anymore money on materials so Ninja it is.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I checked Gleim website and they advertise they can get me an updated copy of the book. Ninja has always been a great consideration! I will continue to look into it, I always hear good things.

    Good luck in future.
