    Hi guys,

So I’ve been using Becker to study for REG and have watched all the videos, done the homeworks. The lowest I got on the homeworks (aside from BLaw, which I’m just running through the questions that pop up on the progress tests I’ve been using to review) was around a 76. I’ve been doing 10 and 20 question progress sets and getting 75’s and above consistently.

HOWEVER, I just started supplementing Becker with the Wiley test bank and am now panicking. These questions are either worded differently or just plain harder, but I’m now scoring in the 50’s and 60’s in the MCQ practice sets. Am I doomed to fail? Let me know what your experiences are and what your suggestions might be

It is quite normal to feel that way when you switch test banks-I feel this every time I jump into Ninja after Becker but it's a learning process so that's a good thing. The more exposure to different questions you have the better!

I much preferred NINJA MCQ over WILEY TB and my Becker textbooks (I got the books from my prior manager so I only had the books). I probably was using the NINJA MCQ bank for over 90% of my total study time. It was also much cheaper, but that shouldn't be your primary concern. Different things will work for different people; what's most important is that you stick to your plan and not make excuses or slack off. As has been pointed out before, there is some overlap of identical questions (at least between NINJA and WILEY). About one or two weeks before I took FAR (my first exam), I dropped Wiley completely in favor of Ninja. If you haven't already purchased Wiley, they may still offer free 2 week trials. Not sure what other CPA exam programs offer free trials.

With that being said, I don't think you can purchase MCQ separately anymore (was $47) unless you have already purchased it in the past. Also, I really liked the Audio as a review/refresher to listen to during commuting. It went into just enough detail without going in too deep to become something that you couldn't listen to while (for example) focusing on the road.

    Good luck!

I completely agree with @madmax. I much prefer the Ninja test bank over Wiley. I have many failed attempts with Wiley, but Ninja just works for me and that's what I used exclusively to pass the ones I've passed so far. But again, Wiley isn't bad – it just didn't work for me. And Wiley still does offer 2 weeks trials, so I highly recommend checking it out thoroughly to make sure it will work for you.
