Hello everyone, i am taking AUD 12/9 and am just finishing up my reviews. Ive noticed that in the practice tests i have taken for Becker , that if the SIM has multiple columns per question to pick answers for, that you cannot get credit if you get one column right and one wrong. I have not seen this before and am wondering if it is part of the new testing or just me finally noticing this issue?

In the 2016 version of the Becker testing materials, the sims were graded with each cell in the spreadsheet questions seperately. Now, it's each row as 1 answer regardless of the number of cells. This is a change in the study material that is new. I don't know if it is reflective of the test or not.

@jmsheridan91 I have also noticed this, it's a little frustrating to be sure. I've also noticed glitches on the Becker sims where it doesn't grade correctly at all: meaning I give all correct answers for a column, but it's still highlighted in yellow and I receive 92 instead of 100.
My friendly advice is not to worry about it, the grading of the CPA exam is secretive and it's technically privileged information I believe. Someone May tell you yes or no, but there's no way of verifying that I know of. Good luck, I test Dec.10

If I had to guess, it's not representative of the actual exam. I know on FAR, I had to make a couple journal entries and I had the correct numbers but messed up the account names and I still did fine on the exam. If you get something correct, you should get credit for those points. Everything should be taken individually in my opinion, but I'm not the AICPA. Just my theory, but I think Becker wants to challenge candidates as much as possible before the exam to ensure they don't lose money on the Becker Promise.

    FAR: 85

    AUD: 85

    BEC: 89
