    Hello
i took FAR yesterday after 4-6 on-&-off months- full time studying with Becker material and final review,
and i did not see a single simulation like from becker material.
my first two testlets were moderate and flagged about 10-13 questions, but the simulation were ridiculously easy yet not straightforward and confusing reconciliation.
i was ready for governmental and NFP simulation as I focused on them and had NON!

i don’t think that i would pass this exam, which material should i study for the re-take?
and is the simulation difficulty is based on the MCQ?

SIms are not based on MCQ performance….I would say you will never see a SIM in any review material that would resemble a real thing. The good one to practice is the AICPA practice test-those are indicative of the types of SIMS you would see on the actual exam. I do however think that if you study Becker you are prepared reasonably well. You can never know how you did until you actually get that score, but if you were to re-take i would recommend Ninja in addition to Becker and study the “FAR SIMS straight from AICPA blueprint” thread on this forum-the AICPA blueprint outlines tasks that could be SIMS by denoting them as analysis or application type task. You are unlikely to get a government related SIM, those are heavily tested in MCQ….

There won't be any magical study materials that's going to show you the same type of SIMS you will see during your actual exam. Like the person above me noted, however, if you study the materials and gain an understanding of the materials you are studying, that should be sufficient.

How do I know this? There's ~660k CPAs in United States that passed the exams using very similar prep materials…

    hello
I didn't mean that I expected to have the exact simulation as Becker, i meant the
“topic or the Task” of the simulations that was not the same and it was my first time seeing them ever.

Make sure you know GOVT, NFP and Cash Flows. Besides that go over the AICPA blueprint for FAR and highlight all the topics that are listed as analysis or evaluation, those are the potential simulation topics. Make sure you understand those topics and can do those task stated and you should be prepared for any scenario the AICPA can dream up. The ONLY way to prepare for the SIMS is by understanding the material, if you forget any details use the AL as a quick reference to refresh your memory.
