Hey Everyone,

I had originally planned on taking FAR 4/1 but decided to change it to 3/10 because I didn’t want to wait till June to get my score. I wanted to supplement with Wiley and Ninja but dont think i’d have time to. Do you think studying with only Becker will get me a score in the 80s?

Lot's people pass with just Becker. Do all the lectures and all the MCQs and you could pass. How did you study for AUD and BEC?

AUD - 64, 80 Passed on 10/09/17

BEC - 75 Passed on 12/09/17

FAR - 69, 71, 73, 83 Passed on 06/10/18

REG - 81 Passed on 09/10/17

I used only Becker for AUD and Becker mixed with a little bit of Wiley using their 2 week trial for BEC. I was just thinking since FAR is such a beast, that maybe supplementing with another test bank would increase my chances of passing/getting a higher score.

I think Becker has everything you need. Use the progress test feature regularly to keep the info fresh. Their SIMS are a good study tool. So are skills practices….Miniature SIMS with explanations. I have always supplemented with Ninja but in the interest of time Becker would be enough.

@Starved_Wolf FAR took me two attempts. Almost passed it on first attempt, using only Becker. Made a 73. Second attempt, re-used Becker and threw in Ninja Notes as part of my “final review.” Made a 78. I think I could've passed using only Becker. I got tripped up on some concepts in the SIMS that I should've known and that had been covered well in Becker. Still, I'm glad I used Ninja Notes the second time around.

I passed FAR only using Rogers (lectures, multiple choice, and sims). People say Rogers is easier than Becker by far. Although I've only used one review course material, I think as long as you put in the time you can pass with most if not all material. When I got a multiple choice wrong, I'd spend anywhere from 1 minute to 20 minutes to really understand what I did wrong. Really get to know what your weaknesses are within the final week before the exam and hammer those out while adding in some of the material you are comfortable with so that you will grasp concepts better.

Note: For retakes, I still stuck to Rogers. For all exams (pass or fail), I never completed all of the questions. FAR was the most questions I completed out of all questions (MC and SIMS included) which was about 1200/1800 first attempt and about 650/1800 the second attempt. Quality over quantity -> Don't get overwhelmed or get into the mindset that you need to bang out 5000 multiple choice to get the concepts down!

If you use only Becker for FAr, please go through every SIM in each module AND the final two practice tests. SIMS > MCQ and for MCQ – select the option to do the cumulative progress tests.

gleim has the best mcq and sim prep for the cpa. their lectures are pretty much useless. I used some wiley lectures and they are not much better. I just read the right/wrong explanation and was able to pass all the sections.

I used only Becker and studied all materials.If you are using Becker make sure to cover all materials and including lectures.

Thanks for all your input guys! Definitely will go through all the lectures, mcqs, sims, and practice exams and pray that it will be enough!
